The quiet surroundings, a great view of the valley and the gorgeous outdoor seating. And the fantastic cable tv from Tata Sky! The nice, big bathroom and the comfortable beds were a bonus. The south Indian breakfast was pretty good quality. The food available for lunch and dinner was rather limited and of lower quality. Western and chinese dishes especially were difficult to wash down after the first 2 days.

the building is very nice in an old English style. The luxury rooms have a fireplace and a veranda; The staff is very nice and helpful. The place is peaceful. it is a little bit far from the down town but in the meanswhile, the view is marvelous.

Located on top of the hill. This is the best thing. You can enjoy ooty weather. Hotel staff behaves very well. Hotel Services are good and we felt very comfortable. The food is Authentic, tasty & nice. It would be better if they provide all English and other regional languages channels through cable tv service.

We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Some of the couples staying at the hotel, got together and requested for a bonfire in the garden, which was promptly arranged at a nominal cost. Best part of the hotel is the garden and the view of the mountains from there... Very beautiful, esp on a sunny day. The hotel rooms are named after Sherlock Holmes stories with interesting tidbits in each room. They have a fireplace in each room which they set up on request... Makes it quite cozy. Food is good, even though a little pricey. We had an issue on one day where the water in the hotel ran out in the morning. It took about an hour for them to arrange for water in the bathrooms, and even then the water was quite muddy so we couldn't have a bath that day which was a little irritating.

Excelent staff , very friendly. First class food Log fires. No bar but you could pre-order a beer with dinner

The location was amazing with stunning views and scenery. Although the log fire was a nice feature it was a purely visual effect! There was a tiredness about the place and the staff although pleasant and polite needed a bit of prodding at times. The heating of the rooms (particularly bathroom needs to be looked at) and the rooms could have been cleaner.
