Score from 404 reviews Very good
Was within walking distance to Connaught Circus / Place.
The room was a regular room with comfortable matteress and clean sheets. Good part was that the hot water and WiFi worked very well. Staff behaviour is acceptable
More option in the breakfast would be good.
I was allocated a romm on the 4th floor
Near main bazaar Travel Desk Helpful staff
Location is good Staff is nice Room is Ok with bathroom and aircond
There is no so many things to do in New Delhi, although this is not the hotel fault. The bathroom cloud be cleaner
Fairly good location but very hard to find at first, down a tiny ally way that absolutely stinks of urine thanks to two open toilets down it
It was so loud all night except from around 2-5am, rest of time very loud, guests inside hotel and people outside. Rooms are very small and compact as is bathroom. Breakfast was very poor and wifi signal isnt the best in the room
When we asked for complimentary breakfast they have given only 4 plate of bread & butter against our member of three adult and three child. I have paid for the rest two plate. when I asked for receipt they ignored to provide any receipt.
The owners were really helpful and also some of the staff. Good bathroom considering Indian standards. The TV with plenty of English channels was also a good way of killing time after 2 months traveling around India. Although Paharganj isnt' one of the best areas in Delhi, it's full of tourist an close to the metro station.
After the first 2 nights I was full of bedbugs' bites (you could count almost a hundred, believe it.). I don't know if they were used to deal with that, but they had all the products you need to kill the bugs and clean the room, so I guess it's not so uncommon. After this incident, I was moved to a different room thanks to the owners and the last day I received a discount (valued around 1 night and a half there), however this discount was possible after dealing and arguing with the manager, who saw it as a way of bargaining (as in the bazaar) instead of a fair claim. A.C. was really noisy and the sheets weren't as clean as they could. They offer free access to some computer with internet. However, internet didn't work for the first 4 days. WiFi was OK, dropping down some times tho. Smyle Inn has two buildings. Apparently, one of them is better than the other (so be sure which one you choose). Breakfast was fine, but I expected it a little bit better (Moreover, the place for it is in terrace which is too hot for the Indian monsoon summer). Staff were friendly, pick up from airport, basic facilities but suit my needs. In a great location and basic breakfast included which is a bonus.
Dark room without much sunlight (I think it's normal for Delhi budget rooms)
wifi/break fast and location
The air con was not all that effective
Staffs are not that supportive. Cheap environment. Breakfast is poor, even water was not served with breakfast. You need to purchase it
Simple rooms but clean with AC. Comparing to other places in India where we spent night Smyle Inn was very nice. Staff was also very friendlyand helpful. Breakfast is very simple but acceptable. They have also money change service with a fair rates, they offer Delhi sightseeing and Taj Mahal trip for a reasonable price (however we haven't used their services so I cannot rate it). Prices for the cold drinks are the same as in the shops. Location is good close to railway station, however a little away from Main Bazaar which is good because the traffic noise does not disturb your sleep. It seems that sometimes they turn off AC using breaker at the reception desk during the day, so when AC does not work ask the receptionist to check the breaker.
The rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds and good showers and located just off of the Main Bazaar, within a 5 min walk of New Delhi Station. The tour desk was really helpful, giving free advice with no pressure at all to book things through them. Great value for money, we will stay there again when we return to Delhi.
Friendly staff in an interesting place in the middle of main bazaar and near metro and railway station.
Internet didnt reach the room. They were repairing the building. Noisy and pee-smelling
Although I had per booked my travel arrangements Ali at the travel desk was helpful and informative. The manager and staff were very helpful and the hotel was much better in all areas than it was when I stayed a few years ago.
Good value for money, breakfast is basic but good!!
The location is in a busy market place and a little dodgy and you have to walk past an open toilet to get to the hotel.
Very bad hotel... 0 ranking hotel pl... drop hotel name in booking. Com... its very bad hotel..
Good wi fi. Good pick up and drop off shuttle service from the airport. Bottles of water for free fiest night. Computers with internet available for guests for free. Free map of the city. Decent breakfast.
The room looked nothing like the ones on the pictures. They must have been taken when the hotel was first opened many years ago. Linen was dirty and old. There where hairs on them. The bathroom wasn't clean either. No tv in the room -though the picture and description said it came with it-. Tourist information is usefull if you are willing to buy or get a tour/taxi with them if not you won't get much information on how doing things be your own.
Clean and tidy room and bathroom Good wifi accessibility Breakfast included Main bazaar just outside the doors 5 min walk from New Delhi Train Station
Very small rooms Minimalist breakfast The hotel is recently under reparations so expect some hummers in use daytime.
It was a good experience. Staff was helful, the room was good and clean. Great value for money. I enjoyed the stay. Best thing is its location. Just 5 walking distance minutes from new delhi railway station. Appreciative
large and comfortable room, breakfast included, additional services such as travel agency, internet area and laundry. Luggage storage. You need to ask for room cleaning service if your stay is longer than a few days otherwise they don't clean.
Poor wifi connection in rooms. Suprisingly, staff was kind of angry when we wanted to extend our staying. Staff in breakfast area can get rude if you ask for filling the milk bottle!
i use the taxi service from the airport was good idea to found the place without any problems. They help me with the trains tickets and i think was so friendly staff. Happy to be there 4 nights!
The location is good but you can get lost the first time.
The owner of the hotel is very nice and kind, helped me with everything I needed! Highly recommend!
1. Value for money that suit our budget. 2. Though the hotel is situated in a small alley off the Main Bazar, the email sent by the Hotel management after we booked, had impeccable directions. 3. Friendly front desk manager for the day shift. He went out of the way to get a cab earlier than requested due to a sudden change in flight schedule. 4. Helpful travel desk.
1. Grumpy service staffs, especially on the night shift. Clear discrimination between foreign and Indian guests in their behaviour. Since my fiancee is an american, she was treated professionally by the same night staff who had minutes earlier behaved in a rude way with me.I hope the service staffs learn to smile, or else "smyle inn" looks ironic! They seriously need to change the front desk manager in their night shift.
Economic, clean, and good placed, near to the train station. Excellent breakfast
there wasn't remote or swicht for the AC, so we had to go downstairs sometimes to turn on or turn off. There wasn't hot water. They made a mistake when we had to pay, and they weren't very handy to admit it. The person of reception wasn't very nice.
