Kish was a wonderful, endearing host and assisted with transfers, answering cultural questions and was available for any need. The room was very clean, appropriately priced, had our own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower, A/C, and a great location close to everything in Hampi. I really enjoyed staying here, felt very safe. Hampi is alcohol-free location which allows that majestic, magical energy to persist and not be thwarted by drunk tourists. Thilak homestay is an excellent choice in Hampi- thank you so much, Kish!

Our host was incredibly helpful in organizing day tours of the local ruins at very fair prices and essentially took care of all of our trip planning for us. The homestay was located close to restaurants and the ruins of South Hampi. When our departure travel plans were cancelled last minute, our host was quick to help us find alternative arrangements. He was the highlight of our stay!

It was an amazing experience.
It was an amazing experience. We went for Holi and it was worth it. The only pain point was the weather. It was too hot so I would definitely recommend you go either during monsoon or post that. Apart from that the landscape is very unique and beautiful.

Hampi is a very special place even if you just want to watch...
Hampi is a very special place even if you just want to watch the sunrise or the sunset, however it alot more to offer with the history of the city. I fully rec
ommend you hire a qualified guide for the day it costs around 2500/3000 but well worth it otherwise your just walking around ancient sites not knowing what it all was. It's very spread out so you need transport, scooters tuktuk taxi. Alot is free but some places you need to pay it costs 600 which lets you into 3 of the locations. The temple elephant goes down to the river for its daily bath which is a good experience as you can get in the river near to it. Just enjoy it

The sheer extent of the historical sites is remarkable.
The sheer extent of the historical sites is remarkable. We benefitted from being adjacent to this in the Temple View Hotel in the bazaar area. The museum and main palaces are a must, made more pleasant and achievable on the heat by engaging an auto rickshaw driver at an agreed rate for the day( suggest 1,500 rupees for the day) Chill out bamboo was our favourite eating and cool drink location.

Nobody will tell you the following.
Nobody will tell you the following.
I previewed nearly hundreds of videos on Hampi on YouTube. But nobody gave proper iternary about how to visit the places.
Use Google map and directions to visit the places. Hier two wheeler if you don't have your own vehicle. Do not go for auto rickshaw option unless otherwise you can't drive.
Start the morning with queens bath and surrounding temples. Then visit Vitthal temple.
Take some rest in your hotel and in the evening visit sunset point and surrounding temples.
At night you can visit virupaksha temple.
Next morning visit sunrise point. Then go for "darli" ride. Visit the other side of Hampi that is hippy Island. Visit Anjanedari hill.
If you have more time you can visit the other remaining places.

As the Hampi is famous for the Stone Chariot which was situated at the Vitthala Temple and other monuments which includes Virupaksha Temple. The best thing is the Sunrise & Sunset at the different locations i.e. Matanga Hills, Sanapur Lake etc. Overall the Best trip for the solo travellers as we will get partners from the another countries which came to roam Hampi. If you want to chillout with your friends definitely visit but book a room near virupaksha temple and use bicycle or the journey which will give best experience ever.

Hampi is known as the Vijayanagara Empire ruins.
Hampi is known as the Vijayanagara Empire ruins. It has been a hidden gem in India and only started getting its due recognition in the past few years. There are two aspects of Hampi, one is more related to heritage, the architecture, and the other is a kind of hippie part where most of foreign tourist like to spend their time.
We enjoyed both aspects of Hampi and were glad that we made this trip although we should have planned for at least another day to spend. Recommandation would be to plan at least for 2 full days to visit all the heritage and then relax your self in the evening.
this property is within the Jindal Vidya nagar, amidst greenary. Take a walk to explore the locality, this is mainly for Jindal corporates regular public are not allowed. except for hyatt residents. Kaladama near Hyatt is amazing, no one at the hotel will talk about these. you will need to explore on your own. this hotel is 35kms from hampi so there is quite a bit of time spent travelling, keep additional time to spend at this beautiful Hyatt place and it’s surroundings.
My recent stay at Mamatha Guest inn was a pleasant experience overall. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, with the housekeeping staff maintaining a high standard throughout my visit. I found the hotel to be quite reasonable compared to others in the area. The amenities provided exceeded my expectations given the affordable pricing. I would recommend Mamatha Guest inn for those seeking a clean and budget-friendly accommodation option.
This stay was the best stay for us, It's brand new property so you can go and get the pleasure of best home stay, particularly the polite way of communicating, the cleanliness, guide for the local things and the guy ready for any help at any time.
This is at New Hampi which is very close to Hampi but don't worry about convenience, it's ready to you any time.
Special Thanks to Nagendra for making our stay best...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mango Tree is a small hotel where you'll feel at home. The room was super clean and breakfasts were very delicious. Most importantly the owners are the most welcoming, generaous and lovely people you'd ever meet. Lakshmi who runs the place, made sure we are comfortable and helped us discovering the area with useful tips. We'll be coming back again for our next Hampi visit without any hesitation. Recommended 10/10
The location is undeniably amazing if you are okay with the fact that the resort is on the other side of the riverbank opposite to where all the popular sights are. The fastest way to the main temple complex is via ferry or coracle boat from Hippie Island (which is like 20 min away from the resort).
Jack, the resort dog, was lovely too. Scooter rental is available. And they offer beer.
Coconut Homestay is highly recommended. It has every thing Good Room with all facilities hygiene and view. Food is delicious must try veg nonveg thali. Breakfast n tea on terrace with view is heaven. You will get everything that a three star hotel provides moreover coconut homestay will treat you as Athiti Devo Bhava .Very Humble people.Proximity to Hampi sites is good within 10min range
The property is located in the midst of green fields giving a serene vibe to the place. A must visit place if you are looking to come out of the noisy city life and enjoy a peaceful time here. Would easily recommend one week to get the best of this place and also explore Hampi. The rooms were decent enough for the price and there is a variety of food available through the day.
The food was amazing. We even got a free meal due to a festival. The location was in New Hampi around 3kms from Hampi. But is an alright location to travel around in Hampi.
Hotels aren't great in Hampi as it's a Village.
The WiFi was pretty good, as the mobile networks were useless in hampi.
The bathroom and rooms were clean and of decent size. There is also an option for A/C.
*Abhi Homestay* one of the best Homestay in Hampi

Hotel in the heart of Hampi village. A stone's throw away from the temple complex. All the northern attractions are within walking distance. Clean and comfortable room. The hotel offers delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly and attentive staff. Lots of restaurants nearby. Everything is perfect!
Great location in old hampi with a view of Vinupaksha temple from the rooftop. Clean, comfortable room with AC. Rickshaw provided by the hotel to and from the bus station was thoughtful. Downstairs at Shambhu Dosa Centre they do the best South Indian breakfast - vadas and dosas were amazing!
Rooms are absolutely neat, all facilities are available over there. Owner is too supportive. Easy go place. I suggest to use this oppurtunity when u come to Hampi... Even calls during booking were received nicely.... Overall it was like My home... 😊😊

Easily one of the best views to stay at in Hampi. The owner Harsha too is easily one of the friendliest energies to connect with. A must stay for any traveller who needs their silences. Thank you Harsha for everything 😊
Very attentive and kind host. He guided us to a nearby mountain and spent some of his time answering our questions about Hampi and ancient times.
