If you want to stay in this hotel, please consider the following: - it is possible to stay in much better hotels for a little bit of money - you can get much better food in nearby 5 star hotels for almost the same price - internet was down most of the time - additional services are overpriced - car services in the hotel or at the gate are overpriced and unreliable, just walk to the main street - rooms have poor furniture and not very clean

hotel is a bit out of the city, therefore it is quite quiet. breakfast is very good. staff was quite ok. they offer several trips/activities for an ok price.

room was not the cleanest, but acceptable. we had the deluxe room, but there was nothing deluxe there. room was quite old.

Nice hotel and accommodating staff. Enjoyable balcony, good food at the cafe, close to a shopping center which is useful. Good value for money.

If you want a "european" bathroom (meaning do not wish to shower on the toilet) ask for a superior room which is 14 euros extra.

Great service friendly staff pool side wonderful . Hotel staff took of medical problem we had.Close to western mall.You will not find a better place to stay . Food was great even at one am in the morning.

Hotel is a bit faded: not like on the pictures on internet ; the bedroom was really bad looking, really old, awful bathroom ; the gardens appeared much more smaller than on internet ; breakfast was average

You are 7-8 km from the main ghats so you need to hire a driver or be prepared for a long walk.

Good food, away from main tourist and holy places, pleasant location, comfortable feel.

Hot water system is faulty. Linen are clean but old. Travel desk rates are very high and terms unreasonable.

The breakfast was good for Indian standards

We were told that we were upgraded. This meant a room with black fungus ceiling. We didnt accept. they put us in another room next to the noisy elevator, the room was not clean (but that seems to be normal in India)

This is a good value for money hotel, with very helpful staff

A very comfortable hotel definitely attuned to the US/European traveler, nice landscaping, close to Varanasi sightseeing. The breakfast was good, didn't eat other meals there and available. Travel agent on site to set up Gat boat trip to view night Arti to the Ganga. A good medium priced hotel.

Although I did not hear it, my friends said it was very noisy in the night. They stayed there for two nights and the first had a very loud wedding party going on most of the night! If noise bothers you, you might seek another hotel.

Nice old world charm

The ambience of the hotel alongwith rooms. Each and every room have a balcony facing the center courtyard. Will definitely stay again there

Everything except their wifi service. Food was great.

The hotel charges for use of wifi and has a rather backward system that makes using the internet challenging. They need to modernize their internet policy and treat the internet as the necessity it is, like toilet paper, and provide it free.

One of the best rooms we have had in India for a very good price. Great restaurant and a café were you can have actual espresso (rare in mid-range hotels). It's located in the cantonement, so a bit outside of the action, which is not a bad thing in Varanasi.

Staff were very friendly and helpful room was nice with very comfortable bed and pillows this is not always the case in India.

The fact that we couldn't stay longer because hotel fully booked for a wedding, also that we never got picked up from the airport as pre arranged

Location & cleanliness of rooms Deluxe Double room is new with nice furniture and good view. Value for money For Bridal make up , Maya of Aarna spa is the beat

Superior double room is more expensive than Deluxe double room. But its old and out dated room with compared to Deluxe double room. Its not worth for money. Aarna Spa staff are friendly but the services are very expensive and less worth for money except bridal mehendi. My mother and a friend used it for light make-up that they charged INR 1600+ with tax but have done nothing. My mother wanted them to apply her own nail polish but was informed it will be charged extra! Surprisingly they were also informed to pay even before the service started.

Great place to stay. Its quiet and safe. A great place to retreat after a long day in Varanasi.

The restaurant is not the best. The wait staff seem stressed and the food is average. The cleaning staff are very loud in the mornings... To early. Yelling at each other down the hallways and it echoes loudly into the rooms.

Nice and quiet place in Varanasi. Nice pool area to relax.We got late check out without free of charge Vary good breakfast in the morning and not the same every day. Some stuff members are friendly.

Wifi is not working every day. Food is not good when dining,Tthey mix your oder or the same soup is very different every day. They have 4 different charges to add your lunch or dinner.

Hotel is inexpensive. Rooms clean. One cafe and one restaurant on premises, both serving good quality food at reasonable prices. Wifi access at 100 INR for 12 hours is not expensive.

The hotel is in a quiet area away from the crowds. Our room overlooked the large courtyard garden, with restaurant, cafe and small shops. There is a pool and the restaurant food was excellent. I have read other reviews which rated low for location due to the distance of the hotel from the Ghats. We were taken to the Ghats by our guide in very heavy traffic and the trip took 20mins by car. I felt this was compensated for by the peace and quiet of the hotel, and sitting on our shaded balcony at the end of a day, watching couples dining in the garden below. The room is a bit shabby but very comfortable with airconditioning and a fan.

Hot water was a problem - most of the time it was cold showers.

We really enjoyed the friendly sevice and helpful advices. The restaurant was excellent in service and meals were superbe. We liked the Pool after hot sightseeings and a drink to relax. Also sevice of travel agency was very good and the offered trip was perfecin timing and hotels. Thanks for the stay, we´d like to come again and will recommend to our friends.
