Given the noise, traffic, and filth of Munnar town itself, I loved the fact that this place is a few miles away from all that mess.
We have two older kids, so I booked a 2-bedroom apartment. I had no idea that it really would be like an apartment, with a comfy living room, large kitchen, microwave, fridge, little stove, etc. The place has two full-sized rooms, each with its own attached bathroom. All rooms have huge windows, that offer a lovely view of the woods, and the hills below. It was wonderful to wake up to this view, and to the sound of the tropical birds!
Breakfast is served on a covered terrace that again offers a gorgeous view of the woods. They offer the usual fare like toast, eggs, etc., and some Indian item or another, like poori, idlis, and the like. So they do cater to people of all tastes. Dinner is provided as well, but you need to order the food ahead of time, from a pretty extensive menu they have, so they can prepare it. Given how far the town is, and how difficult it is to drive on those winding roads to get to Munnar town (why would you, anyway, given the mess there?), I recomend having dinner right at their spot.
The staff was very friendly, and were always willing to help with whatever request we had. One evening, I wanted beer, and they got it for me, from the town.
So when they say that this place is like "A home away from home", I think it's spot on!
A tad far from town, but didn't bother us, since there's not much in the town anyway!
