very helpful staff
location in the middle of dirty neighborhood.
very clean, amazing staff, great bars and restaurants, great rooms and facilities. Very quiet area
location is very quite, if you are looking for something buzzing, young with good nightlife, this is not the right hotel.
Welcoming staff, always helpful and charming. Views from 15th floor were fantastic of the harbour and surrounding area. Food at the Konkan Cafe was delicious and the waiting staff were knowledgable. Breakfast in the garden was delightful. All round excellent value for money.
A bit too far to walk into Colaba so we needed to use the taxis but these cost only R50 maximum to Regal Circle.
excellent service and staff are corporative
no varitey food in breakfast and voice could be hear for other rooms within same floor.
Location is convenient
Deterioration in services. Overall response in requesting any services until reminded again the requested services are not promptly provided specially house keeping.
Spacious rooms, accommodating staff, very friendly restaurant staff.
Price could be more competitive. More attention could be paid on check out..but overall great experience
Staff were very friendly & I had a great last night inthe hotel bar. Both staff looked after me very well, it was a shame I had to leave! I had an upgrade to a suite which was wonderful, & the choice of food was very good in all the restaurants as well as the breakfasts. Quiet (for Mumbai) location, but good for walking to places of interest.
The porters expected a tip fir carrying our luggage. I have no problem with this.it is just that the family and I were having supper in our room when bags arrived. Porter waited and stared at us for a tip while we ate
Unfortunately I request early check In, at my booking and arrived at 0900.they refuse to check me they ask for extra charge I ask for duty manager unfortunately I was talking to her and she insisted to check me at 1400 while they have vacant rooms. I left the hotel and back after 1400 to receive the room after long flight. They did have the basic hospitality as 5 star hotel. I force to check in to avoid paying no show guest fee.
A very good hotel. Bit expensive. Has a lot of staff everywhere.. Reception, restaurents, housekeeping.. If you need anything done, you can always find help anytime anywhere.. Good breakfast. Has many restaurents but packed during meal times as many non resident guests patronize them..
Far away from the airport... Can take even upto 2 hours to get there
Food, staff massage and general atmosphere of Hotel.
Few mix ups in ordering to the room . Dvd was not even in box. Food quite expensive
Location is great, food is really good.
Bathrooms are small, a bit on the costlier side
Afte travelling for two days it was wonderful that they were able to check us in early and upgraded us into a suite. That was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was very pleasant and considerate, always anticipating my needs. I loved the complimentary 10 minute foot massages by the pool!
Fairly quiet room Good location Friendly staff
Wifi not so reliable for rooms at the end of the corridor
Lift Bell boy service very slow
not good internt
It is a good, real life, no worries, standard 5 star, more of a good 4 star in my opinion, but relatively cheaper than the competition in Mumbai, known to be very expensive for hotels. Breakfast is good, although not as varied as last year (they took the sushi out for instance). Location OK, although a little bit too south compared to the Taj Mahal, but still very central Overall, a good deal for Mumbai
The swimming pool is area is a little dry and should be surrounded by more trees and plants, and a bar to make it more lively The view on both side is ... quite ugly (that's Mumbai!) You can't use the wifi in the lobby after checking out, or before checking in Rooms a bit worn out
The breakfast staff were the best.(Laxmi) The spa was excellent.
The reception staff not accomodating at all. The free wifi is not available as advertised. The reception staff need to learn how to smile and treat people with more respect.
Overall it was nice enjoyed my stay. Had spa and also used the gym.
The room was looking old, didn't liked it not value for money
Wifi pop ins kept disturbing every 10-15 min
Nothing worth mentioning.
We moved 3 rooms middle of night, awake till 2PM due to a loud party which hotel staff could not control/handle. Came to hotel expecting a quite night after long day. But its was total disaster. 50% discount after the fact is not the way to manage guests expectation. Not sure if we ever will come back again.
Room curtains were too dirty
Staff were excellent, but this is what I found in all of India, not just this hotel. The buffet breakfast was very interesting with good variety, and tasty. The Konkan Cafe was very good for dinner. Spa was good. There is actually free wifi available, but this is not made clear on the hotel's own website or booking.com. there is also a paid for wifi service, presumably better, but I found the free service adequate for my needs.
Maybe when this hotel was built it was in a good location, but it is not any more. The views are only of tower blocks of flats and this makes the experience in the outdoor pool rather unimpressive. My bed was too short for me. I'm not tall, not even 6 foot, but my feet were off the end of the bed. After this hotel I stayed in a cheap 3 star in Pune and I had plenty of room. I know Tetley is owned by Tata but it really is not what one expects to find in a 5 star hotel room. Coffee at breakfast was dreadful, tasted like instant coffee. The packed breakfast that was provided for me on my day of departure due to my early checkout was really poor, mainly doughnuts and other sweet bread type things with an apple and a small carton of orange juice. I really expected much better for something that should adequately replace the cooked breakfast that I was missing out on - I could have got better in Colaba, or dare I say McDonalds. Finally, a 5 star hotel should be ni excellent condition, and this one is not. The guest rooms should be like a rooms in a show-home, but my room had scratches on the doors, poor quality repairs to items, and generally felt quite worn out. In summary, 5 star hotels should not skimp on these items, so this hotel should not be considered 5 star.
