Peace and quiet.
Lack of variety in dining selections.
The owner is a gentle and reliable man
There was not HOT water and the booked room was noisy, I could not sleep properly
Old design of the hotel Peacefull and quiet Good food but not excellent Nice staff and helpfull
A very comfortable small scale hotel with strong atmosphere and character as befits an ex Brooke Bond staff and management bungalow. Staff were genuine and friendly, food and facilites good. Location quiet and accessible to Cochin. Perfect for us.
We had a pleasant welcoming of the staff. We got a map and a path to follow for sight-seeing.
It took long time to get the food we ordered for both dinner and breakfast.
We had a lovely stay at the Tea Bungalow, due in no small part to the wonderful hospitality of the staff, who were all excellent.
Everything was great, except the wi fi, which was a bit slow!
i loved it from the minute i called Jaxon to make a booking for a weekend getaway for my husband and i, he was accommodating and gave us the best room with a private balcony and a view of the pool. He also allowed an early check in with no extra charge. I highly recommend the mango pancakes, delicious would be an understatement. The bathroom is well stocked and has toilet paper and big mirrors (a hair dryer as well)
Both days we had to wait with the water running for 5 minutes for the water to get hot but after that its pure bliss :)
Quaint place,old style,homely
No bar and recreation
Rooms are not so big, but clean and charming. The swimming pool is very nice with a natural aspect. Next to the pool, the patio is lovely quiet and full of birds. The food was good and for a reasonable price. The personnel is welcoming and professional, the owner is always present, and even took the time to entirely organize a 7 days trip in Kerala for us, in less than a day!
Rooms are a little bit noisy (close from the street in our case), however it calms down around 11pm, allowing for a good sleep until around 6am. All in all it is reasonable.
Great hotel with such welcoming staff. They couldn't do enough for us. Good location and driver they sent us was the best!
The manager was very friendly and went out of his way to help us, there had been some booking issues which he had already solved prior to our arrival Xmas Eve. The heritage nature of the accommodation was interesting. We organised a pick up from airport via hotel a few days before. A well run small boutique hotel.
Had to change rooms due to booking bungle. Ended up with better room for last night as compensation.
The hotel staff were amazing - very helpful when my friend was hit by severe food poisoning. The night staff went out of their way to escort her to the nearest hospital and make sure she was comfortable.
The checkout was long winded and complicated. Makes for a stressful end to a very relaxing stay.
Pleasant colonial-type hotel in a nice location. Spacious clean rooms. Staff friendly. Food good.
Hotel and restaurant a little expensive. No fridge in room.
