L'ancien hôtel Ambassador bien refait et maintenant géré par Taj. Le étro Khan Market est juste devant la porte de l'hôtel, très pratique pour aller à CP ou travailler dans le centre.

Great hotel, fantastic staff and a unbeatable location

Service was excellent. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly.

Nothing

Wonderful, wonderful staff, including Nitin (breakfast manager) and Mitin (housekeeper), plus all the security staff in the hotel and at the entrance. Also the morning breakfasts were top notch (again, greatly enhanced by the friendly staff).

Internet experience was a let down. For Rs 600 per day, I think I can expect a connection with enough bandwidth (esp. Upstream) to make a call on Skype. Also, one that doesn't cut out and force a reconnection / relogin every hour. I know that this seems like a small point, but any more having access to the internet is a key aspect of travel (esp. When one is 15,000 km from home) and when the hotel charges top rate for the service, it's a persistent frustration not to have a good connection. I just want to offer this as constructive feedback ...

Huge Spacious Rooms. Excellent Breakfast. Heritage Stylings.

Not the newest hotel in town, but therefore with a very nice ambiance. We got an upgrade and the suite was exceptionally nice. The breakfast had been great. A real pity that we could only stay one night.

Prices in the bar had been really "5 star".

They charged for using wifi which i personally do not like it.

Excellent staff who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a lovely character to it and was not too big or impersonal, I felt very safe within the hotel and the security was not too imposing. The Chinese restaurant was superb with a comprehensive menu, all in all a fabulous experience.

I found it had all the amenities I needed, the only issue I had was the plumbing was a little noisy at times!

The hotel is conveniently located in central Delhi. It is 4 mins walk from Kahn market and from the metro. Within a further walking distance is the India gate. Food offered is a mix of European and Indian. The Indian food was good at breakfast but limited for evening meals. The bar was very good The staff were helpful, kind and accommodating, the small problems I had during the stay were sorted out to my satisfaction.

The hotel restaurant is designed as a continental cafe. Just about bearable at breakfast - when it is pleasant to sit outside in any case - but bizarre at any other time. We arrived much earlier than standard check in time and it was to the credit of the hotel that they tried to put us in a room right away. However, the 1st floor room, which apparently was an upgrade on our booked room, was dark and dismal (windows faced the air conditioning system). Although im making this point as a concern, we asked to be moved and went out, when we came back it had been done.

Location & room: good. Friendly staff, OK (but not superb) facilities.

Pool was closed but was not really enticing anyway. Way too many staff, they get in the way. Some staff but clumsy, not very confident. Wifi: bad. Awkward connection process, irritatingly unfair pricing (per device). Should just be included at this price level. Dissatisfier.

Very well located next door to Khan market. A beautiful well maintained hotel that oozes charm and character. The staff and management were nothing short of brilliant....no request was too much and everything was dome promptly and efficiently. The breakfast is outstanding and the other restaurants on site a reasonably priced and offer a wide ranging menu to suit all tastes.

All was excellent specially the staff.

Friendly staff trying their best to highlight the positives and heritage look and history of the hotel.

1) Although I opted for a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of cigarette coming through the central air conditioner system which made me change rooms. It is funny, because the hotel claims to have a strict fire control policy, but keep instructions on how to use the ash tray. Also, it made me think whether the smoking detectors were really working or only fake ones. 2) The first-floor (where they put me after changing rooms due to the cigarette smoke smell) is too noisy. It seems to be the floor for conferences and seriously, it should not be used for acommodating guests. 3) Yellow Brick Road rest has amazing food and staff but its indoor area is too small for being the place for breakfast. It is always packed during rush hours, and too noisy. The outside area is also not very attractive due to flies, heat and in the winter could be too cold. So, why not increasing the in-door lounge?

Staff and location are the best in this hotel.Rooms are also large.

This is a minor thing but nevertheless small things also matter. Previously, I was wellcomed to the hotel with a glass juice, which was a nice gesture. Now they have decided to charge for it. So the glasses with a juice jug are nearby with a label "200 rupees" if I correctly recall the price. It is better to take away completely that juice jug from the lobby. Especially as the former guests still recall the earlier practice!

The room were clean and the room service was ok, possibility to have food service in the room even if you are very late.

The price did not match with the one in the reservation. The price before tax I have to pay was 15120 Rs. While your price was 11520 Rs not refundable. Basically I paid the samething than a collegue that was having a refundable price. Absolutely no difference in the billing.

The staff, nothing was too much trouble

Lovely building with huge clean rooms. The location is great as its in a very nice area and close to the metro. The food was fantastic and the staff were great.

There is no swimming pool but this is a lovely old building in the nicer part of Delhi so not a beach resort so we didnt go there to sunbath or swim. The bar was a bit grim and no one seemed to bother going to it.

Very nice staff, comfortable rooms, very well-located, calm, excellent service.

Wifi internet is not for free, you have to pay a lot for it.

The Vivanta by Taj Ambassador is a hotel for people who like some colonial feeling. The service is agreable and they do not make a lot of fuss and are down to earth. The rooms are lovely and of good size. The location is superb. It is near the Khan Market and the Metro Station (don't miss a ride on the Delhi Tube - it's great). The services offered are decent in quality and price.

The windows are not soundproofed so I woke up at night because some driver below had an argue. If your room looks out to the entrance you will hear people coming and going until late hours. The breakfast is also what you rather expect in a three star hotel and the bar is deplorable - unless you are in full 1970-mood, then it is probably hilarious. The sound is loud and the bass volume was too strong.

Welcoming staff, security guard on our floor. Great location next to Khan Market and in vicinity of Lodhi Garden.

Did not seem to have our booking in order, needed to discuss the fact that we booked with breakfast included. Furniture / towels a little dated, overall cleanliness acceptable.

Hotel is located in pretty old building, kerosene smell was in the room for the first night, noisy maintenance work was going on at mid night of my first night, they provided a hotel car ( as package to visit Agra city to see Taj Mahal) with expensive price, the guide tour was nice but sold me out to souvenir shops.
