The staff friendliness, the room cleanliness and the hotel in general. A good value for money.

The location. Although in a quiet surrounding residential area, but would have been nice if it was a bit closer to basic amenities - like a shops, pharmacy, restaurant, etc.

The staff was awesome! Very helpful and friendly.

Nothing in walking distance but if it's in an area that is convenient for you then you will enjoy your stay.

I travel to India quite often and The Amber is the best hotel i ever stayed in. Located in South Delhi, my most favourite area in New Delhi, in one of the local living neighbourhoods. Overall the hotel is very well managed. They really tried to do their best to make my stay very comfortable, yet, they definitely susceeded.Very comfortable bed, very relaxing, always nice sleep. One of the very important advantages of this hotel is very well set conditioning system (no noise, both cool and heat - matters a lot, when you travel to North India in winter). Has very friendly and quite helpful professional staff, front office managers have to be mentioned specially. Had with them on the fastest check-ins in my life, I was guided to my room within 2 min, after i entered the front door. The hotel is overall is very clean as well as the room and very comfortable, I had the IDock, that was a nice bonus to the hotel setting for my iphone. They have they simple wifi setup and absolutely fast and stable internet that helped me to get info i wanted off the internet easily. Very nice and pieceful rooftop, where i spent every morning after breakfast. Lots of sun, big birds flying nearby. Breakfast buffet was not big, but nourishing and tasty (both Indian and Europian dishes), nice eggs and pancakes station with a bright chef :-))). Every request, query, question were responded immediately, tactfully and very very smoothly. There is a little market within 5-7 min walk. Highly recommend.

Hot water takes time to get, but this is a problem of most hotels in New Delhi. Tips to management: please put more signs out on the way from the main road, as taxi and tuk-tuk drivers have a difficulty finding the building.

clean enough, generally friendly staff, large room and shower bath

far from city center, I and my wife stayed two days via booking.com, the following 4 days my stay was paid by a host institution of the conference I attended. During the check out, I asked extra bed price for my wife and they tried to charge a price more than two times higher than booking.com price. thankfully, the representatives from the host institution solved my problem. but the receptionist was not kind enough to solve the case unless the representatives were there... so be careful with such a situation!

Very pleasant staff, particularly front desk. Rooms and bathrooms good sizes, stylish decor, good wardrobe space, comfortable bed etc. Nice bright and clean atmosphere throughout.

You need to pay attention if you arrive at night since, like many places in Delhi, this is a gated community so if you dont know the roads you can get a bit lost trying to find a gate thats open to let you in! But this is not a criticism of the hotel, just a tip.

bathroom was very beautiful, equipped with nice soaps, room had nice contemporary decor, felt like a western flat, bedding was soft and well maintained, stuff - super-nice, the location fairly convenient for driving

Hot water was only on demand (!!), towels were over-washed dusty color, breakfast was average and overall it is more of a bed and breakfast, not a 4 star boutique hotel.

It was a nice and comfortable place to stay. No frills but for travellers wishing a homely atmosphere. Do not look for the facilities of a 5-star.. it is a budget/boutique type property. The location is at an accessible point with available transport to everywhere. The hotel staff rate an overwhelming A+ and the food is excellent ...... a huge, palatable and filling breakfast is offered free of cost. I would recommend it to others without any reservation. PS The management may consider a small bar / lounge..
