Hot water takes time to get, but this is a problem of most hotels in New Delhi.
Tips to management: please put more signs out on the way from the main road, as taxi and tuk-tuk drivers have a difficulty finding the building.
I travel to India quite often and The Amber is the best hotel i ever stayed in. Located in South Delhi, my most favourite area in New Delhi, in one of the local living neighbourhoods. Overall the hotel is very well managed. They really tried to do their best to make my stay very comfortable, yet, they definitely susceeded.Very comfortable bed, very relaxing, always nice sleep. One of the very important advantages of this hotel is very well set conditioning system (no noise, both cool and heat - matters a lot, when you travel to North India in winter). Has very friendly and quite helpful professional staff, front office managers have to be mentioned specially. Had with them on the fastest check-ins in my life, I was guided to my room within 2 min, after i entered the front door. The hotel is overall is very clean as well as the room and very comfortable, I had the IDock, that was a nice bonus to the hotel setting for my iphone. They have they simple wifi setup and absolutely fast and stable internet that helped me to get info i wanted off the internet easily. Very nice and pieceful rooftop, where i spent every morning after breakfast. Lots of sun, big birds flying nearby. Breakfast buffet was not big, but nourishing and tasty (both Indian and Europian dishes), nice eggs and pancakes station with a bright chef :-))).
Every request, query, question were responded immediately, tactfully and very very smoothly.
There is a little market within 5-7 min walk.
