The LaLiT New Delhi  

The hotel is very central to all the main sightseeing places in Delhi as well as shopping around Connaught Place. It is very clean and comfortable with excellent customer service in all areas. I especially liked the buffet restaurant which had a range of western foods to help soothe my digestion after having eaten in more remote areas of India. There is also a spa and a range of nice shops on the gallery level. The car services were especially appreciated, with comfortable cars and safe, friendly drivers.

The hand held shower could not be used like a normal shower that you can just stand under and enjoy. If you let go it just sprays everywhere, so you have to put it down and stand in the cold when you need to use two hands for shampooing, etc.

Very worn out room fittings (cupboards, shelves, water taps). Not up to a luxury hotel standard: loose electrical wires, plaster in the walls, worn out wood and lacquer, faded and unpolished brasses / aluminium... Do some maintenance LaLiT! Towels too worn out. Cannot use them for so long at a luxury hotel. Baluchi restaurant, ok-ish Indian food, approximately 3,000 INR with no wine. Food on the fatty (kebab) and bland (dhal) side. Go to Connaught Place instead (Zaffran, for instance will cost you 50% of that for better quality).

bed linen quality was good, staff friendly

It looks better in promotional photos. The room smelt of damp and the aircon was hard to control and adjust. Either too hot or too cold. It has a nice idea of bathtub, but there is not enough water pressure to fill in the bath to enjoy it. No hooks for towels, although marble everywhere. Looks are more important then function

The welcoming staff and overall atmosphere created by the emplyees. They always said hello and had a smile. Any questions/issues were quickly actioned/addressed. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. Thank you!!!

1. The Breakfast Buffet timing should be from 7:30 to 11:30 A.M. 2. Customers who cannot make it to the breakfast buffet should have the option to order via room service a few standard options 3. The final bill should be provided via email. I did not get the full invoice and would appreciate one via email.

Good location.

Lighting in room poor. Vegetarian food could have been better

They blocked the money on my card for deposit with the sum three times more then they asked me: once in front on me during check in. And then two times during the night. So, try not to give them your credit card as a deposit guarantee, better to live cash in a sealed envelop. But this is common situation even in some hotels which are promising not to block any cent for deposit - "just to make a sleep".

Bell staff and front desk service was great, location was great. Food was good. Clean comfortable rooms. The hand sanitizer in the room was a nice touch.

A bit pricey.

Their attention to detail was excellent, and the room was stunning. I stayed here on my last night in Delhi and it was a huge improvement on the other hotels I'd visited in India. The swimming pool was just perfect for relaxing.

Location is close to Connaught Place but walking anywhere means getting hassled by lots of carpet salesmen

Excellent service all round, with airport transfer and support at checkin being particularly impressive

The staff was very friendly all the time. Whenever I needed a taxi they would call one immediately and register taxi's number for safety. The buffets had great variety all the time. The food was also great.

The room was not perfectly clean there was some dust and some details weren't taken care properly, however I mentioned it to the manager and the next days everything was better.
