The Pearl was really a nice hotel with great in room facilities like Tea coffee maker in the room and nice toiletries like shower gel and shampoo of good quality.
Had stayed at the place while visiting the countryand was looking for a place that could be well suited for a short stay and budget and in that regards the place was a perfect find for me. good service, rooms and location.
Good price range and service fair enough. The biggest problem that i had was the noisy and busy streets around the area. Though it is not problem inside the rooms.
- clean, modern and comfy - relatively close to New Delhi station - helpful staff - free luggage storage - taxi booking
- breakfast not included in the rate - the neighborhood is pretty ugly but so is most of Delhi
The hotel is within walking Distance from the New Dehli train station and a short 10 min ride to the Red Fort.
The wifi is hit and miss
Super friendly staff, Beautiful hotel
Nicely kept and well maintained. There is tea and coffee making facility in the room and a very nice room service menu. Wifi is free and pretty fast an absolute bonus if you want to catch up on your emails or browse the net. The food was unique and fabulous.
Nothing we enjoyed everything about it.
Friendly staff, they are very helpful
The bathroom shower takes time to adjust. The floor cleaningness should be improved.
The room was really nice and i liked the staff. the hotel is located in the center of Delhi so everything is close to the city center. it's quite and facilities were really good.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable...I slept well!
The wifi was a little slow
Close walking distance to Connaught place and other areas.
A little noisy from traffic. It's Not that we didn't like it. As all hotels its a part of india you can't escape it. Maybe take earplugs if noise bothers you.
Great staff, great service, great food. Totally makes sense to stay. I was lucky and happy to choose this hotel. Hotel is located in city center, so it's possible to explore historical places with knowledgeable driver.
I bit hard way from/to the airport through very busy streets.
It was really nice of staff to be so helpful all the time.great food and location was really near to everything.specially the pragati maidan .
very poor breakfast
Bed was nice
They decided it took too long for customs, so they left us stranded at the airport (despite having our flight number). Refused to come get us once we called, and said we had to take a taxi (exactly what we were trying to avoid). They had no sympathy and would not admit fault, typical for India's street vendors, reduculously unprofessional for a hotel.
Too much noise from the reception (staff ?)during the nights - we stayed in the ground floor.
One of my favorite hotels in Delhi. Very good service. The internet being little slow is my only complaint. The location is pretty good, not to far from most south delhi, and also close to the train station.
We spent one night in the Pearl after doing some volunteer work .But i feel we had to write about the Pearl has that one quality that is at once indian and yet hard to perfect. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Amazing breakfasts and the upstairs restaurant is fantastic. Staff is helpful and accomodating. Room and bed are very comfortable (did not expect this level of comfort given the price), and everything clean and tidy. We visited during wintertime and the room was quite cold, but bearable.
Location is in a busy, loud, trafficked area. Sometimes hard to get to during rush hour. We did not feel comfortable venturing outside after dark. We are a young couple, American students, and generally did not find the city to be a welcoming place. Our hotel was a nice refuge from the traffic and the smog.
hotel terkumpul di bahagian sibuk delhi.
The staff at the pearl all share a peculiar condition. they don't have the ability to say no.the beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms and nice bedding.the food was awesome.these are all great features , but without the excellent staff , they are meaningless.
There are lots of budget hotels in New Delhi. When I first stayed at The Pearl, I was impresssed. I like one guy behind the front desk. He's he only reason I came back. The staff were overly attentive because they wanted tips. But not always helpful.
I figured I'd give it another try, but found the staff ineffective in simple things. and there were often surprising costs when they would helpful "arranging a transport" to the airport as a "service" at highly inflated prices. Communication is unclear, you will not feel taken care of or as if you can trust them. Except for one guy behind the desk.
schönes Hotel, das Personal war sehr nett.
gode faciliteter med rene værelser.
1) The complimentary taxi to the airport - we got it on the way back from Delhi, but apparently taxi was waiting for us already at the airport when we arrived (we didn't know about it, so we took another taxi). The reason for the misunderstanding was that I requested a taxi in the note to the hotel when booking, but they never confirmed that it will be waiting for us. The communication could be improved. 2) Very friendly staff and willing to resolve any problems that will occur. 3) good breakfast with complimentary bottled water 4) clean room and nice bathroom 5) convenient location close to the train station 6) possibility to change money at the reception
1) Internet didn't work in the room, even in the reception it was not working properly... 2) there was no hot water at certain hours (we were waking up very early and going to sleep quite late), so we had to call the reception to fix it. After some time and help it started working. 3) the air conditioning was not always on (we wanted to switch it on to warm the room) - but when we requested to switch it on, the reception was very helpful 4) the riksha drivers outside of the hotel who try to cheat you and rip you off and bring you to the "travel agency" even though we asked them to bring us to the official government tourist office (I gave an address). It seemed to us that the hotel staff was aware of this practices and they didn't warn us against it. 5) the window curtains couldn't really open - but anyway there was no view to see, we just wanted some more daylight. 6) the hotel is close to the main street so if you seek for a quite place, choose another hotel or a room to the backyard
