Hotel was clean, the room was quiet and the staff helpful. The wifi had a good signal strength. CCTV located throughout hotel. Would use again on future return trips. Very close to the Everest cafe, best place for food in the area.
nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing,
Horrible location, unfriendly staff, poor service, I would never recommend this hotel to any one.
Pulkit the manager goes out of his way to help you, even as far as helping us book trains & accommodation for the rest of our trip. He's friendly, approachable, reliable and trustworthy!
The hotel location and standard of rooms, cleanliness etc were all very good for the. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly too
There were some major problems too, unfortunately. We used the train station pickup service from Anand Vihar. The driver was there waiting for us but about 5 minutes into the journey the car broke down because te engine overheated. This happened 3 times before the driver allowed us to take an auto the rest of the way. This was in blistering heat after a long train journey and turned a 40 minute drive into a 2 hour one. Upon checkout we tried to explain the membe if stafd what had happened, but he tried to charge us the full amount, despite the dact rhat the driver hadn't actually brought us to the hotel, and didn't seem to be trying to understand or listen to our complaint. Eventually he called the driver and agreed to let us pay just over half. However, when we came to settle the bill and had handed over their money he told us we were Rs 500 short. We had definitely given him the correct amount, but we hadn't been paying much attention since it was early in the morning and we were already tired from having to argue about the taxi. Here amount he was holding wa indeed Rs 500 short but we were sure that we had given the right amount - it was only after insisting that he went back into the cash drawer and found another 500, and agreed we had actually paid in full...it was very suspicious and although we can't be certain it seems highly unlikely that he accidentally put only one note in his drawer and held the rest in his hand. It's a massive shame because the hotel was fine in all other respects, but I'd advise anyone who stays there to be very wary of potential attempts by a minority of staff to scam you.
Very helpful in providing us a better category room . As well as giving us clear directions to reach particular locations on time. Andrew G.C
Breakfast to start at 7 am instead of 7.45 am. This would help one to start for work early enough. Also light snack / soups to be provided from 7pm in the evenings for those guests who would like to retire early to bed .
Personnel and management helpful and good. Clean rooms, close to New Delhi Railway Station (10min walk).
Poor breakfast, sometimes slow WiFi
- Communication with the hotel (hotel manager) is easy and we got a reply to all our questions very fast before arrival - Very close to New Delhi Railway Station (walkable distance - 10 minutes) - If you have complaints they will try to manage your requests - They provide pick-up from the airport (which is good at night since the hotel is hidden among many other hotels and in a side street) - there are cons to the pick-up service though - Clean and comfortable beds - Clean bathroom - Relatively quiet place with not too much noise from outside - ATM just on the corner - Good price/value ratio Other tips: The hotel can offer booking of tickets for trains/ buses/ planes, however most of it you can do easily yourself via web or a smartphone with no surcharge (you have to plan ahead though! For last minute bookings you may use the service of the hotel, but they cannot guarantee tickets either. You simply better plan your trip way ahead). Booking a cab for your whole trip is an option (you will be offered this option for sure :) but I personally do not recommend it. Road traffic in India is heavy and you might travel cheaper, faster and more easily by train and/or air (depends when and where you´re travelling, of course).
There are a few things we didn´t like and I´ll list them here, but I have to say that the hotel did their best to make the stay comfortable. Room rates match quality - be aware that this is a budget hotel in the heart of Paharganj. - The first night we arrived we got a room with no window. However, they changed it immediately when we complained - the A/C could not be regulated at all (it´s either on or off) and if your bed is just near the A/C you won´t get any sleep at night due to the noise - Internet connection was unstable (sometimes it worked, sometimes not) - Pick-up service from the hotel was arranged in an unclean car with no A/C and it was more expensive than a pre-paid taxi that you can simply book at the airport when you arrive (before you leave the airport!), which is a relatively clean car with A/C.
Very good for the area, comfortable room, great staff.
Average mattresses, wi fi slower than a 3 legged tortoise.
Great location, helpful staff and affordable prices.
Wifi was not too strong!
The most helpful & friendly staff possible.
Good location but hard to find, wifi very good. Pickup service worked well
Breakfast ist poor
The staff was so nice to us. They helpt us with everything. They also helpt us booke another hotel and houseboat in Kerala, that maked it alot cheeper for us to stay there!
You should use your roof-space for your guests :) it could have been nice to sit up there, looking out over the city.
The hotel I would recommend every time for location and cleanliness - but the very best thing about the Spot is the fantastic staff. When I got into difficulties with a tout, the owner's son came to the railway station with me and sorted everything out - without making me feel silly! I can't thank them enough; now I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Delhi.
Location on main bazar road, but in a quiet place, wi-fi on every floor, money exchange and so on, good price for 3 people room, hot water, great people: helped with phone calls and train tickets when we very needed them. Thank you
Manager is excellent, wonderful value for money and great location.
Super friendly staff , always smile and are there for whatever we needed. The travel desk did his fantastic job, Pulkit helped us booking train tickets, hotels and 3 days trip to Agra and Jaipur. See you next time. Highly Recommended!!!
Internet access was bit slow.
good location, the tourist office at the reception, friendly staff, nice rooms
No room for breakfast ..... not very good wi fi
Location. It's near good bars and train station. The street has an backpackers atmosphere. Free wifi. We booked a trip here for 10 days through India and it was well organised and not so expensive
It was not so clean. Our bathroom was very dirty.
Best hotel in india so far, wold use again on my way back. Manager was awesome. Taxi driver cheated us, so we stayed one night in another hotel, he resolved it in 20 minutes next day.
