Tutto! Un soggiorno da sogno non solo grazie alla strepitosa bellezza dell'albergo e della sua localizzazione e vista sulla città, ma anche per l'altissimo livello di tutto lo staff il cui assoluto intento era quello di offrire al cliente il miglior soggiorno possibile. Ogni desiderio è stato esaudito meglio e di più di quanto ci si potesse immaginare o aspettare. Un posto in cui mille dettagli perfetti ti fanno sentire come un principe in paradiso.

The excellent service and very helpful staff. The amazing view of the Gateway to India, the pool and its setting, the cocktail lounge and the Sea Lounge on the first floor for breakfast and high tea. Also the Spa Centre was great, and excellent to use after a late checkout before late night flight departures.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike

Very relaxing - beautiful hotel in the centre of the tourist attractions in south Mumbai. Excellent swimming pool and poolside dining.

everything was fantastic

except, checking in took forever and we very tired. Some people maybe new to India might like the little ceremony with the bindi and garland around the neck but not us. It was lovely to be seated in the lounge and served a cool drink whilst checkin procedure occurred but it took over 20 mins and all we wanted was to collapse into a chair as we had had a very early start and had been on the go all day. Not sure how the hotel could deal with this as I am sure most people love it.

The hotel was ideally situated to visit the Gateway of India and Elephanta Island. It was luxurious and I particularly enjoyed the use of the swimming pool.

Price of the food in the restaurants was very high, and I felt that charging for wi-fi was unnecessary.

Luxury with comfort, excellent services.

While check in , as a couple , we had been alloted a twin bed room with exit door.

Staff were excellent! Overall a world-class hotel!

I was always lucky enough to get a sun lounger, however, I would suggest investing in more loungers and umbrellas to lay out on the grass at busy times, as many people wouldn't like lying on the grass. They could then be taken away and put into storage as the pool area quietens down in the evening.

Everything was utterly superb.

The only niggle was that in the restaurant goats meat was served when the menu said lamb.The chef confirmed for us that that was the case, and that it was normal practice in India.

Truly outstanding colonial hotel. Impeccable service which anticipated our needs. Great restaurants with high quality food. A real sense of history with Wonderful attention to detail.

Only that we couldn't use the spa whilst there.

loved the pool and the area around it..especially the covered areas with big comfy sit up chairs and lovely attentive staff.

hate the fact that wi fi is charged. these luxury hotels should drop this as it is standard in a lot of mid and even budget hotels and feels like a rip off. the pillows arent as good as those in the LaLit chain!

I loved everything about it. It is the best hotel Ive ever stayed at - and I frequently stay at luxury hotels. The service was a perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. The location is perfect.

Sadly the immediate area near the hotel is never clean for long; being a popular place for visitors despite early morning efforts, it is a sad contrast with the hotel. Clients from a certain wealthy region who were guests at the time of my visit were loud and not discreet - which is surely in contradiction to the traditional distinction enjoyed by the hotel and its clients. Fortunately there was enough space to find a quitet space.

The excellent customer service and luxurious feel to the hotel, combined with the history and excellent location.

We had a room at the front of the hotel and it was noisy on the Saturday night from all the traffic. Bathroom had also seen better days.

This is one of the best hotels in the world for sure. The location is superb, the rooms are beautifully furnished, super comfortable and well appointed, there is great choice of bars and restaurants, service top-notch. Not cheap but well worth splashing over.

The heritage wing is pure class.

The hanging lanterns in the corridors of heritage wing, why were they not lit in the evening? The gorgeous corridors will look much mesmerising if you turn the main lights off and turn on those lantern style electric lights. At the moment, they are being wasted, those are purely for show.

The price of food in restaurants and at breakfast ($30) Charging nyc prices in Mumbai is a bit too much. Paying premium for excellent dining is understandible, $30 for breakfast is not. Wifi should have been free.
