Good facility, quality and rate of food is good. rooms are well maintained. it is placed at the hart of the citi easy to reach anywhere around the city easity if you have a private transport.

Since it is near secretriate parking space is a problem the hotel has only 6 parking loats that will be filled if you did not adjust your time.

the place is not crowded. Traditional hospitality. Good food,both veg. and non veg .at moderate price Location is good.

Least professional at counter service. Chaos and confusion even for small issues.

Traditional Kerala heritage hotel with a long past, reflected in the old furniture, doors, staircase, frontage. Centrally located and really worth the money they charge.

Breakfast option is poor, but I guess for the money that is paid, you have to manage. Its a-la-carte, by the way

Great position just a short rickshaw ride away from attractions eg zoo, palace. Excellent, good value restaurant. friendly staff. A good place to stay for a night or two before moving on to other parts of Kerala.

Food and dining is oriented to local guests. Foreigners may find little difficulties with the choice of food and eating without any utensils. One have to deal with may waiters. Food is ok. Once I was served very cold Dosa ( favorite dish of the locals) Look like very little skill to deal withwesterners/

Food is too heavy on Kerala preparation. People coming from north may struggle after initial couple of days.

Nice room, clean, aircon, and best shower I had in India (out of 9 hotels). Friendly and helpfull staff. Good location in the centre of Trivandrum, you can get anywhere in the city on foot or for max € 0.50 on an auto-rickshaw. Only 15min from airport (5km away).

Couldn't get Wifi in my room (had to go to communal area). Only Indian breakfast (hot) and it starts only at 08:00am.

Clean rooms, good shower, a/c. Very helpful staff, well run hotel.

Pokey room at back, really a hotel set up for Indian nationals. Caution with juice bar at front!

The only plus point about this hotel is its prime location, right in the middle of the city, with excellent connectivity to most places, whether close or far. The room, by itself was good & clean, but only for the price which I got on offer from Booking.com. Otherwise, for its actual tariff, it is an absolute rip off and not worth it.

I had an absolutely harrowing time with the reception staff. Especially one lady there, who does not seem to have the basic manners/etiquette to talk properly to guests & thinks she owns the place. As I was told and guaranteed something in particular regarding the tariffs for an early check in, by a particular receptionist, a few days before I checked in, I was not willing to comply with them when this particular lady of concern told me that I would have to pay more than what was agreed earlier. And that too, although she had mentioned that she would clarify regarding this matter with her higher-ups, she brought it up only when it was time for me to check out. Guests staying at the hotel should not bear the brunt of mistakes made by the hotel staff! For this, I was literally shouted at over the phone, told that there was no other way than to pay extra, and to top it off, she slammed the phone on my face! When I asked for the manager of the hotel, I was told that there was no manager around! How in heaven's name, does a hotel run without a manager being around! Absolutely outrageous! In the end, I spoke to another receptionist, who was courteous enough to listen to me (for once) and understand my situation. She told me that I could pay what I was told to pay. Never ever in my stay at multiple hotels, both in Kerala, in other parts of India, or even abroad, has such an incident taken place, due to the callous attitude on the part of the reception staff! That apart, the restaurants are only mediocre, and the food, although definitely not bad, isn't brilliant, as such. Breakfast, although complimentary, isn't served till after 8:30 am, and many people who have the need to travel from the hotel to far off places (which was the case with me), or need to catch a flight, cannot have breakfast before they leave the hotel in the morning.

The location

I hated it.

The food was good, use of wood for decorating the interiors gives a special feel of the old world and the history of the hotel is interesting. The artwork used to explain the hotel story is nice which creates a special atmosphere in the hotel

The room i stayed (no. 102) was very small and congested, the bathroom n toilet were really tight n some flies were in the bathroom which i dint like. there is a stark need for fresh air and light inside the rooms

They have completely redone and refurbished the hotel and the rooms and all amenities are kept neat and tidy. The staff is also extremely helpful and courteous. The greatest advantage of the Hotel is its location, very near to the State Secretariat Building at Trivandrum and in the heart of the city.They also have a feedback form which the guests can submit on checkout.

The only thing I notice some improvement is necessary is the restaurant menu. Not much variety at the Restaurant. The hotel can think of improving the variety of food served at the Restaurant.

Good place located in the close to the Bus/Train Station and close to the temple. Rooms were clean and well maintained. If one likes trying local food, this is the place to stay. They serve excellent ethnic Travancore food and it was great!! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a good place to stay for a short city trip.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Trubel von Trivandrum, aber ich habe mich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Ich hatte ein innenliegendes Einzelzimmer mit Klimaanlage, das klein aber sehr sauber war. Ich habe mich als alleinreisende Frau gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Das es kein continentales Frühstück gab.
