Unique location, comfortable and good value
very nice hotel
the check out time written here is 1pm, but actually is 12:00. We want to extend for an hour the staff rudely answered no!
old style construction.
continuous noise inside room, could not let me sleep well.
It is so hard to find clean sheets in the other hotels. This one was perfect. We loved it very much. Breakfast was also very good.
Lovely place, small and cozy centrally located. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. If your not looking for too many bells and whistles, this place could be what the doctor ordered.
Small tv set :) positioned miles away
Friendly staff, nice pool and the quirky styling of the building was fun, plus the restaurant is good for dinner if you order local food.
Our original booking was with Umaid Mahal but we were transferred on our late night arrival as we were told there was "some problem" (unspecified). We were shown to room 407 which turned out to be above the restaurant at Umaid Bhavan so was very noisy both late night and early morning. The A/C was very loud and inefficient so despite ear plugs we did not enjoy a good night's sleep. Other than this the room was OK if a bit grubby around the edges. Due to the noise we asked to be moved the following morning and were shown two standard rooms even though we'd booked a deluxe room. When we queried this we were told nothing else was available, so we ended up in a room at the back of the hotel which was quieter, but was distinctly shabby. We happened to glance into a ground floor room as the door was open and it was much nicer than where we ended up. All in all our experience was OK, but we didn't get what we paid for.
The whole stay
The room was very beautiful, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean with a large shower.
It wasn't in the best location.
Not as good as it looked online, service quite poor, breakfast not good, nice building but quite tacky inside, wouldn't recommend it
Stylish hotel, lovely roof terrace , good food and Extremely good value.
Room and decor
View from balcony room
This hotel is on a par or even better than the 5 star hotels I've stayed in in India. Excellent staff. We had the deluxe room and it was beautiful.
The location isn't good but unfortunately this seems to be the norm for the better hotels in India.
This is one of the best managed hotels I stayed in.The hotel its service and staff are the top of their game.Ajay on travel desk offers invaluable service and exceptional value for money. This is a hotel where the staff really want you to have an excellent experience.Book it now!!
the staff and the cab driver had a good sense of service and deserve a praise,,
the people around the hotel were not very humble towards foreigners and thought its not too safe to travel without a vehicle, looked out to be as it was their strategy.
Room was spotlessly clean & shower great. Food (esp breakfast) was good. Good value for money overall.
Compared to the other hotels we stayed in, the staff were not as friendly or welcoming. The man on reception was always on the phone, every time we were talking to him he would interrupt our conversation to answer the phone or talk to another member of staff. We would choose not to stay here again as feel that we would get a better welcome & service elsewhere!
friendly and helpful staff
Rooms were large and nice.
Very loud during our stay at this hotel. Very thin walls.
staff, very helpful, style of rooms and balconys and great bathrooms
chilly but obviously down to time of year..a few more heaters would be great as limited supply for rooms..
Beautifully decorated hotel. You feel like you are in India there. It is located very close to the Jaipur Junction Railway station, 15 min. By car. Very close to the Pink City.Complimentary pick- up service on time, even though our train was delayed. In the room complimentary tea and coffee. No bottled water you have to pay 0.60 rupees for it.We had Royal Deluxe room, 502.The room is nicely decorated, but it is from the street side, so it is noisy. The hotel is very clean. The best rooms are starting with 200 numbers.I Think was the second floor. The staff is very helpful and pleasant .The restaurant has a very good food, not too expensive.Breakfast was very good, like in most hotels in India, was an Indian food, omlettes, cereal, fruits. They packed up our breakfast to go on our departure day, because we had to leave the hotel earlier. That was a nice gesture. The hotel has a roof top restaurant with the city view.We had a very good experience while staying there.Thank you Umaid Mahal!!
The room 502 was noisy. No bottled water in the room.
Nice little palace.
Bbreakfast choise. Traffic noise.
The traditional furnishings and beautiful hand painted ceilings
the hotel itself is a feast for the eyes as you walk in... lovely-indian-kitsch decor throughout. location wasn't too far from all the sights & market places. the reception staff was nice, helpful (as helpful as can be...).
because we needed our rooms earlier than expected, they gave us rooms on the ground floor, which i don't think were properly made up like others on the upper floors. the bathrooms were measly, poorly fixed up...didn't understand the plastic buckets we had in the shower... very poor lighting... the bed mattress was harder than a rock!! i couldn't find a comfortable position at all! didn't get a good night's sleep. The breakfast is poor... definitely needs some work.
The restoration in all rooms and public areas was nothing short than magnificent. Food at the restaurant was sumptuous. Staff were very friendly and customer focussed.
The hotel lived to all expectations.
Location is in a posh area in the new Jaipur city (nearby railway station), not in the old pink city. Hotel is really good with antique interiors, well behaved staffs, good food, clean rooms and bathrooms with all required toiletries including hair dryer. The room was well equipped with LCD TV, Spike buster, Electric kettle, tea bags, coffee and milk pouches etc. Room interior was also good with wooden furniture, paintings and lighting arrangements. It had a separate dressing room attached. Bed was comfortable with cozy mattress, pillows and blankets.
Only complain is that the room heater stopped working at night.
Very friendly restaurant staff
Bad wi-fi; ask for a up-stair room, we had no view no balcony and it was very loud
