Housed in one of Amritsar's oldest mansions, Ranjit's Svaasa is a luxurious spa retreat located just off Mall Road. Dating back to over 200 years ago, it provides yoga and meditation sessions, a fitness room and other wellness therapies. This is a genuine Indian experience. It's an old haveli full of family photo's and filled to the brim with with memorabilia of times gone by. Huge rooms very comfortable beds, good food, adequate breakfast, spa, beautiful gardens to lounge in, good drivers available for trips to the "border crossing" A lovely atmosphere if you want a real Indian hotel. For those that don't appreciate the quirks that that entails, go to one of the big chains of bland tasteless hotels. Nothing really

I liked the layout of the rooms, the large size and balcony space with each room. The staff were very friendly and helpful The space was very dusty and untidy. Didnt seem as if any thought had gone into the decor. Had a bath with cold water. Another guest was also complaining of the same. For the price we paid it wasnt worth it.

The friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the cosy house, the location, the room and the spa. I will recommend the Svaasa with no hesitation.

We stayed at Ranjit's SVAASA when we first arrived in India and the night before we left. On arrival we were greeted by the staff and welcomed to our beautiful and very spacious bedroom and relaxation space. The house itself has some real historic significance and you can feel the warmth and colour of India throughout its beautifully decorated halls and guest spaces. This is a family run business, we found the family to be very interesting and incredibly accommodating and helpful. Vishaal and his twin brother helped us plan and figure out our entire trip in India, helping us with hotel bookings, flights and train travel, they were brilliant, we were very appreciative. They really went out of their way to help us. Though the hotel is not on the golden temple's door step it is a very short drive away and actually works perfectly as it allows some sense of peace as the temple is very busy. Our driver was brilliant and really looked after us particularly when I fainted at the temple. Whilst you're here take time to enjoy an ayurvedic massage at the spa at Ranjit's SVAASA.

Did not like anything> not value for money Ranjit svaasa was a total dissappointment. In the garb of heritage hotel, these people are in fact pushing a dingy hotel, with dingy rooms, dirty linen, dirty bathrooms with broken fittings and lizards in the room as a dressing. The breakfast layout was simply hopeless, serving stale cake, and even after 30 minutes my order was not served and I had to leave after eating d stale cake. The staff is very poorly dressed, no uniform and the hotel in general is dirty. Would not advise to stay. The price being charged is not worth it

a great place to unwind with good Ayurvedic spa and very tastefully designed resort . the service in the restaurant appeared a bit slack but was not sure if it was due to staff shortage but once you got their attention you were seen to .

Quiet location, lovely room. Food was mediocre and expensive. The beer was the most expensive of all the hotels we stayed in India at this star rating at 250 rupees plus an additional 15 percent tax. For a spa hotel I would have expected soft white towels, not hard and grey in colour ( after repeated use ). Tourists would appreciate an espresso machine not Nescafé. We cannot comment on the spa but the rates were approx 5600 rupees for 60 -90 mins.

This hotel is old ancestral house. Front part of the hotel is well preserved and you get the feeling of travelling in time. Some rooms looked great but we had a ''maid`s'' room with basement like windows and unclean rundown bath room... We felt cheated. We asked to change room but it was refused... Breakfast is basic. We shopped around in same area and you can have a better room for significantly less elsewhere! Don`t be fooled with name ''boutique hotel''!

The hotel had a lot of character and was very clean and comfortable. The service was quirky but overall it worked and was good. The staff were very helpful in making our sightseeing arrangemsnts despite having very little notice of our requests.

It is undoubtedly an old heritage property, with period furniture, We could travel back in time. It is different from any modern Hotel, with high ceilings, some old furniture, verandhas etc. That is about it. some staff was helpful, some not. overall a good experience, certainly could have been better. Heritage alone must not be a USP. The access is bad, There is hardly space for cars to be parked. The room was not ready when we arrived well past the check in time. The room offered was claustrophobic, we got that changed. The staff was not involved. one evening the tea failed to aarrive until reminded. The light fittings were like a shop. not enough power points to charge phones and that too not for any global standards. The mug in the room was chipped and dirtyy. It could have been a wonderful experience, but over hyping can be damaging, which it did. the general upkeep could have been better

Liked the style, quirky, like in someone home. Bedroom large and decorated very nicely. Large outside seating areas. Quiet . Some areas of the hotel were shabby and not very clean, like the downstairs toilet ( near spa). Ate first evening in the hotel, food was not good at all it was a bit faulty tower like, with service. Tying too hard to be global food but dos not work. Better to do good indian food.

The staff were very cooperative and accommodating. We particularly appreciated our driver, who took us in to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to the Wagah border closing ceremony and who made sure that we got to where we were supposed to go.
