Upgraded on arrival to ensuite room!
Breakfast was good! Very central and they upgraded me to a bigger room. Win.
Sort of unclear entrance and signs
the complimentry breakfast and location.
Good value for money. Friendly staff. Great location
Perfectly positioned for the centre. Great staff and great, breakfast. We were even upgraded to a superior room.
I've stayed here twice now and both times the staff have been extremely helpful and they go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of and to recommend fun things to do. The rooms are very nice and clean and the beds are super comfortable. It couldn't be in a better location being right off Laugavegur and with its proximity to Hlemmur Station. The breakfast is really good and overall 4th floor is a great value!
Having breakfast included was good and th reception staff were incredibly helpful and polite
The room was a matchbox, the bathroom even more so. The sheets and pillows should have been thrown out 3 yrs ago. The water supply makes a horrific loud noise about every 2 minutes when in use.
Staff exceptionally helpful. Comfy bed. Clean. We were in superior room so lots of room. Excellent mushrooms in addition to lots of other hot goodies at breakfast. Excellent value for money & close to all local attractions.
I liked the location it was perfect right at top of the main shopping street. The breakfast was good selection and the wifi was also good. The upgrade from double room to apartment a brilliant bonus.
I didnt like the smell of smoke in the apartment. There were a couple of issues with some of the facilities within apartment. TV would not work, signs on the sliding door saying out of order. No hot water and the smell of sulpher when using taps was awful.
breakfast so nice!
Staff were great, friendly and helpful. City Car Rental is in the lobby so it was very convenient especially if you're planning to drive all over Iceland and comeback to a place to stay before your flight out. Location is great, unlike some visitors, we didn't find it too busy. Breakfast here was the best out of all the places I stayed at in Iceland
Something I know they can't help - the sulphur smell during hot showers, I don't miss!
Warm room with nice radiator. Friendly receptionist gave us ideas of things to do as we arrived too early to check in. We left our bags until check in. She gave me a bottle of water for our trip as I didnt have any and arranged early breakfast to be put in our fridge for early bus to airport on our final day.
Nice location.. In the most popular street of Reykjavik.. Good for short and single stay.. Staffs are good as well..
Bathroom was not so good..
- Bed was very comfortable. - Strong Wifi. - Good situation, not in the center, but very close, at the end of the main street. Convenient if you have a car. - Incredible breakfast buffet. - Nice staff.
- Bathrooms are a little tiny.
Lovely staff and comfortable room. The breakfast was better then we expected, which is always a bonus. 4th floor is really handy to the main street and has a supermarket opposite.
The mugs supplied for coffee were dirty, the spoons still had food stuck on them - that was gross! Unfortunately we had a couple of poor nights sleep due to late night/early morning revelers on the street outside (Irish, if you'd like details!), but this was not the fault of 4th Floor.
The walls were thin, the people next to us had a fight and we heard every word of it. This was not nice at 3 o clock at night... The badroom was not clean
Good location parking close by.
I had to look for staff to check in. The room was dirty, footprints on the walls, thick layer of dust on everything. Very bad bed, my back is still hurting. There is a nightclub run by the same owners in the same house on the first and second floor and the noise from the club was way too much. Every time you flush the toilet a loud water pump turns on to fill the tank. It did over power the noise from the nightclub for a few seconds so i guess thats not all bad. Will not book there again.
Excellent and helpful staff.
1.Room balcony door's lock damaged. 2.Listed Bar's item in the room, but told that should be NO Bar's item.(Or else I may ask to pay before I leave.)
We moved to one of the apartments and this was very large and quiet.
The first rooms we had were very loud with the busy road below
Big room. Good breakfast. Good location.
the location is GREAT! In the end/start of the shopping street (and also about 10meters from the Penis museum;) We rented a car here also, and when you first got the hold of the car guy, he knew a lot. good breakfast.
no gluten free bread for the breakfast. The lady in the reception didn't know a lot about the car-rental they also provided, so we had to talk to a car guy. problem was that he was not there when we picked up the car, so she had to learn while she did stuff. took a bit of time, but totally worth it, no problems with the car. Toilet made noises when it wanted.. sounds like someone was flushing, but no one was there.
the breakfast was perfect
the room was little for 3 people
No heat - it gets cold!
-good location -clean and cheap -staff let us into the room early -can book tours and airport shuttle from the hotel
a minor complaint, but we left postcards with them to mail that never made it out. not sure if it's the fault of the hotel or postal service, though
Even though I had an early departure I got a breakfast package. Lots of restaurants, pubs and cafés nearby.
