Score from 155 reviews Very good
I liked the fact that when I arrived five hours before check in time not only could I leave my luggage but the management rushed to prepare a room for me so I could actually check in. The staff also helped arrange my Saga Tour. When a major snowstorm blew in the night before I was to leave the staff called the airport multiple times helping me make my flight once the airport opened. I loved the Soley products in the bathroom. I loved the young Italian woman who cheerfully made me espressos every morning and baked chocolate chunk muffins. The view of the fjord was spectacular. Not a single thing was not to my liking.
Not a thing
The breakfast was lacking in some areas. The bread had finished and also the toppings.
The staff was wonderful. They were friendly and very helpful. It was a great location.
The rooms were somewhat small but comfortable.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lake in front of hotel. Breakfast is good. Close to restaurants and shops area, walking distance.
no coffee or tea in free breakfast
Very comfortable Quiet Great staff
Nothing to dislike
Clean, room with comfy bed. Nice and warm. English TV channels. Great location close to amenities and main routes.
A little on the small side for two people.
Good location for wondering around the town. Room a good size and beds comfortable. Parking available outside.
Nothing to dislike.
Room too small, toilet too small
Close to town, parking
No lift, stairs only! Shower needs some bleach cleaner!!!!
Staff Location Breakfast Comfortable bedding
Bathroom was extremely small and could have been cleaner
Comfy beds with good quality bedding. Quiet location but with easy access to town. Great view from the room.
Only comment is that the room was a little small
Great location for Akureyri. Friendly staff and good room (double bed was excellent, best bed of the whole trip). Good breakfast also. A+
Nice location in a very nice town (Akureyri). Short walk to downtown and restaurants. Hotel has a nice quaint atmosphere.
A problem with all hotels in Iceland is the heat and no way to control it. (this was in September, the situation is surely different in midsummer or the winter). Rooms tended to be too hot and I had to leave the window open. Having on a duvet on the bed makes it difficult to control body heat. I would have been happier with just sheet.
Good location Front desk service Very nice bad Breakfast is good Nice view
Nice clean room with good size bed and bathroom. Would have a good view from the front rooms. Car parking easy and a short stroll into town. Best breakfast we had in Iceland.
Nothing to dislike
The place has a cute welcoming exterior and the main lobby and dining area is neat and modern. The rooms were tidy and beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly. High marks on the breakfast which had a good selection. The location is a short walk into city center.
Rooms are slightly cramped but functional. Only minor issue is bathroom can be modernized though it was also functional and clean. There is no elevator but I didn't mind much.
very good location
