We arrived very late into Iceland. The owner greeted us and quickly checked us in so we could sleep. The beds were comfortable and the room was very quiet so we could sleep in and not hear other guests. The owner was helpful with. Ideas if we asked.
Staff and abundant breakfast (included). Vicinity to the bus terminal.
The city is expensive and this is a decent budget option. There is free parking. It's easily walkable to the centre, breakfast was fresh and nicely served, wifi generally worked, the room we had was nice with an L-shape - perfect for changing behind and it is a good option as long as you don't mind sharing one bathroom with about 5 other rooms.
Staff were not especially friendly and there was just one toilet for all the rooms - meaning a half-hour or more wait for the toilet at peak times as there was also a shower in that room too. There was apparently a toilet downstairs too, but this wasn't explained until I was leaving, and nobody else knew either, so the queues were long for the bathroom.
No WiFi coverage in room downstairs
Location and price are good. Breakfast is good. Comfortable bed. Sink in room.
It is not too clean, especially the bathroom. Small rooms. Breakfast is ok.
The guest house has a very warm & welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is served in a beautiful winter garden. The hosts also offer to make sandwiches / tea or coffee to take on tours. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. Big plus is that there are washbasins in all rooms, so less queues at the bathrooms :-) Shared facillities are 1 toilet, 1 shower and 2 bathrooms with both. The guest house is located in a residential area, nearby you can find a small supermarket & the mini market of a gas station. 10 min walk to Perlan, some 15 mins to the city center. Parking spots available, the nearest bus stop is a 3 min walk away.
Only 20 mins walk to the centre of Reykjavik. Staff were brilliant and provided a great and friendly service. My stay was very comfortable. I will come back to this location again. It was clean, safe, close to the city centre and felt very safe.
Wifi was not the best but was better than most places in Iceland. It did not cause me any problems ---it just was not as good as it could be compared to the UK
Friendly owner, clean room with very comfortable bed, good breakfast, free Wi-Fi.
Fantastic little place. The owners were very polite and friendly to us. Breakfast was amazing given the price. Beds were very comfortable and the place was quiet and clean.
A little way out of town but still quite walkable.
It was quiet and they let us have our room early which was fantastic. Location was good. Nice breakfast.
All was good but a few suggestions would be to have some local information available e.g where the local shops are, how to get into town etc. Access to a kettle but the hosts were very accommodating, I just didn't like to ask all the time. The shower could have been a bit cleaner and also have a shower mat. The rest was great.
friendly, relaxed and very helpful hosts- gave us useful advice on getting around in Iceland (on car rental, even booked us a tour, so we didn't have to look for travel agency ourselves).
- good value for money - the owner of the guesthouse was very nice waiting for me until late in the night - very good breakfest - nice room with good heating
- a bit complicated way to centre through a footbridge over a big road - shared bathroom could be cleaner
Amazing. I would recommend to everyone (solo travelers, groups of friends, family) so clean and comfortable, the staff was amazing (always left the delicious breakfast out until they knew that everyone had eatten)!
Friendly owners, good location and nice breakfast.
- nice hosts - fair deal - breakfast - 10 minutes walk into city
different rooms / some of them quite small BUT still a really fair deal
Lovely host! Helpful, friendly, welcoming, cute host! Would like to visit and stay there again :)!
Honestly, nothing at all!
Thorstein the owner was really friendly, relaxed and helpful. Breakfast was nice and could be arranged for any time which suited us well for the bus tours and the days we slept in.
Although within easy walking distance of the centre, the walk to town requires crossing a busy road and going over a bridge. This path is not immediately obvious.
Landlords were very nice, and thehot bread put out for breakfast was great!
Kettle in the room would have been nice. The landlords did not appear to believe in heating - the house was very cold!
The bedding was not very clean, the towels was stiff and we used towels that we brought from the Blue Lagoon.
Free parking Sun porch dining area showers
Small rooms cracked, peeling paint dirty furnishings unlighted hallway surcharges resulted in much higher price than quoted at Booking.com

Nice decent guest house. Excellent value for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Like all of the Icelanders extremely polite and kind. We wish them all the best as It's a new business :)
The location: Not right in the city center--so we didn't have to deal with noise from the night life when we were tired from a flight. But it's close enough to walk into town easily. Also, most excursions will pick up at this location. Value: competitively priced for Reykjavik, and included a nice continental breakfast. Staff: Harpa welcomed us right away and assisted us when one of our tours was late to pick us up and we were nervous. She also gave us good directions into town, and alerted us to the weather forecast for our outdoor excursion planning. (She also stuck some things in her dryer for us when we had to pack for our flight and had been rained on all day). Facilities: Seemed to be many older couples (but not exclusively), so it was very quiet and an easy night's sleep. Free WiFi. Lots of electrical outlets. Hairdryers in the bathrooms. Linens and towels included. Everything was clean.
Some of the showers didn't drain well, but really, that was it. Everything else was great.
