The owner is very friendly, trying her best to meet our needs and also provide us as much helpful information as she could. Delicious breakfast and clean room. We had a great view from our family room. Guests can also relax in the cozy living room. Really nice guesthouse

nice welcome. felt at home. there was a nice sitting room and a big kitchen that we used for our dinner. breakfast was great.

there is one bath room for three guest rooms. but it was not an issue during our stay.

we got a very nice view from the room. we can see the mountains with snows and seas with sunset. excellent breakfast and staff! (the best breakfast provided by guesthouses we have stayed in iceland) and the lady who prepared breakfast was nice and great!

Extremely noisy. Walls were made of paper, you could here everything throughout the whole house, people having breakfast downstairs, people talking in other rooms, if you would like a good nights sleep, it is only possible when there are no other guests

Very friendly and helpful owner, had a great conversation in the morning over breakfast. Also, great views, right on the ocean and next to a walking path, not far from the best local restaurants.

Only one bathroom on the upper floor of the house we were in, could have been a problem if there were more people there.

The host was very friendly and helpful. He recommended restaurants and helped assess road conditions. Our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. Location was excellent. Breakfast was delicious - on top of serving Icelandic staples, our host cooked bacon and eggs.

the view has to be seen to be believed. soffia and her son colbenn were the perfect hosts.

on arrival, there is a note on the door advising guests to call a number to get access (this is common throughout iceland). unfortunately, we could not find a payphone and didn't want to make the call on our australian mobiles. fortunately, the local shopkeeper allowed us to use her phone but this is something that should may be considered when hosting international guests.

The location is stunning and everyone is friendly and kind. A wonderful experience! Felt like a family home.

We were vey welcomedby the owners. She told us where best to eat and where to go if we wanted to explore the area. The guesthouse is really nice and has everything you could need. Really enjoyed our stay here. Hofn is a lovely place as well.

Very comfortable and wellcoming. Soffia and her son are very helpful and friendly. They give very good tips on places to visit around Höfn. Very good breakfast and complimentary tea and coffee all day around. Comfortable rooms and big kitchen. Very good WiFi.

Sofia and her son are great hosts. Welcoming and full of local advice and be sure to ask Sofia about some of te Iceland folklore.

Bakki Guesthouse was the nicest place we stayed at during our two week trip through Iceland. We directly felt at home, because there is a nice sitting room, a big kitchen that you can use and the beds were really comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was really good! There was a lot of different food and also some typical icelandic bread that was great. We can definitely recommend this place!!!

The guest house was run by very friendly people. It was also nice to talk with the other guests at breakfast time. There was excellent Kitchen facilities with complimentary teas and coffees throughout our stay. The breakfast was the best of all our stay in Iceland. There was excellent choice and range of Icelandic food as well as bacon and eggs.

The guesthouse was perfect and the view from the back was superb! As we visited Hofn in November we found all restaurants and bars to be closed, which was not ideal.

Bakki Guesthouse was by far the most comfortable place that we stayed in all of Iceland. Soffia was kind, thoughtful and went out of her way to ensure that we had a perfect stay. I would recommend this Guesthouse to anyone.

The arrival process was slightly unclear. When we arrived to the Guesthouse there was a note on the door to call, which would be fine for those who happen to have access to a mobile. Perhaps having an easy to find landline in the flat would easily resolve this. This was of course a tiny inconvenience however.

The owner Soffia and her son who prepared breakfast each day were both very friendly and helpful. On the first night, Soffia followed me in her car as she realised a restaurant she had recommended was closed. She let me follow her to a different place, the excellent Kaffi Hornid, which was only about 200 meters from the house so easy to ealk there and have a glass of wine with your meal. (Iceland has zero alcohol drink driving laws). Soffia's husband is a photographer and there are many of his lovey photos on the walls. The wi-fi is very strong. The location of the house is stunning, on the waterside within walking distance of the harbour, restaurants and shops.

Sharing a bathroom is never ideal but it suits the budget minded traveller and there were two bathrooms for three rooms. I never had to wait.

We arrived at night during a storm and the scenery was very dramatic and romantic. The house itself is very charming and updated. Our room was small, but the bed was comfortable and there was a bathroom right across the hall. One thing we really liked was that we felt at home and were able to use the kitchen to make our own food. We wished the other guest houses we stayed at in Iceland offered that! We also really enjoyed talking with the owners at breakfast--they were extremely pleasant.

At night and in the morning [when I wasn't feeling well and needed to "sleep in" a little bit] I kept getting awoken by the closing and opening of doors and their locks. I loved staying at Bakki, but I have to mention it as it was bothersome.

Great view, nice familiar atmosphere, great breakfast, fun place, maybe a bit more for younger people, but depends in the end on the other guests. nice to sit with everyone in the kitchen for breakfast together.

thin doors, so if u r a light sleeper u might get disturbed by other guests. outside is quiet though!
