The lady at the desk was wonderful (during the day from Friday 4/12 to Sunday 6/12/09). She went out of her way to try to help my sister and I make the most of our trip to Iceland. She was so knowledgeable and helpful- she is a terrific employee. I am a smoker. I wish that the website for the Fosshotel Baron had mentioned that it was a completely non-smoking facility. I did not know that smoking would be such a big issue in Reykjavik and would have looked for a room with a balcony or a hotel with a smoking area if I had known this.. |

Hertiage room lacked view but have nice decore. Staff very helpful with information and making plans. Front desk was always busy, so had to wait for assistance. |

We were first assigned a room with a skylight and no window that could be opened. They reassigned us to another room which was fine. The breakfast was excellent and had a big selection. Location was close to everything you would need in Reykjavik. The beds were too soft. |

The hotel reception staff were very helpful in organising day trips and the breakfast was good. The standard double room offered first was poor - below average room and smell of smoke. Luckily they had other rooms - the historical room for example. |

The front desk staff was consistently excellent- polite and with wonderful suggestions. The room was fine with very comfortable beds The food was boring, especially day after day. In particular the breakfast needed more fruits and vegetables. The curtains for the room would have been better if they blocked more light. |

Friendly, courteous staff, good breakfast, and great location. The second-worst mattress I have slept on in 40 years of staying in hotels. It was a thin, cheap mattress, wouldn't have been any good when it was new, plus it was worn out many years ago and provided no support. I could even feel the springs. Sleeping on a blanket on the floor would have been more comfortable. I was in Room 513. |

The view as we had a seaview room - the staff were quite friendly and helpful most of the time The cost of the room which was very standard and not improved like some of the other rooms but we had paid quite a bit extra for the sea view - could do with a bit of make-over! Could do with tea and coffee facilities in rooms or at least a kettle! |

Hotel is very well located near the harbour and the downtown. Staff is very friendly, speak excellent English, breakfast very good, area very quiet, room very clean,l liked personal safe in room also. beds are too soft! |

Værelset var udstyret med smukke gammeldags møbler med udskæringer, og der var masser af dejligt varmt vand i badeværelset. Det vil være en god ide at gøre gæsten opmærksom på, at værelset ligger længst væk fra elevatoren. |

Hotellet har en central beliggenhed i Reykjavik samt det at hotellet råder over egen parkeringsplads. Værelserne er meget små og adskillige virker som enkeltværelser, der er puttet en ekstra send ind i. Når man ved check ind finder ud af at der er booket til favørpris, virker det som om man har order på at placere os på de mindste/dårligste værelser. I forhold til det vi oplevede på resten af Island er hotellet slet slet ikke pengene værd og bestemt ikke til normalprisen på knap 1500 per døgn for et dobbeltværelse. Iøvrigt virker det dårligt at man trods booking på nettet med oplysning om betalingsdetaljer ikke kan få lov at checke ind før man har fremvist sit kort og skrevet under på betaling endnu engang - det har vi ikke oplevet andre steder. |
