The friendliness of the staff and owner

The staff were awesome, spoke fantastic English. The hotel looks like a log cabin from the outside. Good breakfast in the morning.

One must check in by 6pm. Unfortunately the weather influences driving so if there's snow, 6pm is hard to make.

Very confortable for resting after a long trip along Iceland's roads. Also good facilities and the staff was very kind.

Very welcoming staff. Excellent food, both dinner and breakfast and in Icelandic terms good value. There is an comfortable lounge equipped with internet access, TV and mini library. Rooms are reasonably well equipped. The setting is dramatic. Good value too. The hotel is off the beaten track for tourists but provided you don't mind the isolation it is worth visiting.

The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable, the hotel is easy to reach from route 1. What we did not like at all is that the rooms don't face the seafront which is a pity as the town is a seaport. So when you are in the room, it could be just anywhere. Rather select Hotel Margaret if you want to have excellent views of the fjord . . .

The hotel itself is very beautiful but the rooms are a bit spartan. Dining room closes at 9 so there was no place for us to get diinner. There was a small cafe across the road that was still open but only to serve cold items as its kitchen was closed as well.

Hotel Blafell is in a small, picturesque fishing village and the hotel has great character and large, fun common rooms. The wood paneling inside made it feel like a fancy cabin. The staff was also very attentive and helpful. We loved our stay here!

My only very minor complaint is that our room did not have blackout curtains so it was very light early in the morning.

Kind people, comfort and a good restaurant, near the ocean at the opening of the fjord

The staff were very friendly. The food in the bar/restaurant was delicious, especially the meat soup. Although this is a stop-off point for coach loads of tourists, the hotel and restaurant have systems in place to deal with them quickly, with minimum impact on other guests.

Fish Soup, local birdlife, very spacious room. Lovely very helpful staff.

Great hotel, very friendly staff which always want to help you,...

Szépen felújított, barátságos, tiszta hotel. Minden fából van, még a fürdőszoba is, nagyon szép a reggeliző hely.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel im Osten von Island.Die Zimmer und das Frühstücksbüfett sind sehr gut.
