Nothing at all
No idea where to start. The hostess, Zeno, really makes you feel at home... he hangs out with, and other guests and you feel like you were all traveling together and have known each other before the trip. The house itself is amazing, really comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated, it definitely makes you feel at home. The location of the house isn't in the center area of the city, but that's the best part, cause it's close enough and very quiet to sleep at night.
It was like being welcomed into someone's warm home. We had a self check in as we arrived late but were greeted by the owner as soon as he arrived. Our room was super cosy and had all the necessities including Apple TV! The bathrooms were very modern and clean. Breakfast was self serve in the morning so we could leave at any time in the morning. Owner have us a map circling all places on the ring road that we must visit, which was very helpful.
We had to pay cash or a fee for using credit card. We wanted to stay again before we left Iceland but it was all booked out!
Excellent B&B, spent 4 nights here, great atmosphere, very comfortable and clean. Zeno is an awesome host. Would stay again!
We had a great stay here! Bed was comfortable, and facilities ideal for our needs. We would happily return on our next trip to Iceland!
Nothing to complain about. Obviously more suitable if you have transport, as it's more than a walk from the centre of Reykjavik.
The attention to the little details that count when you travel. loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay here, we were made to feel at home straight away. We could help ourselves to yummy fresh breakfast every morning which was great as we had early starts every day. Our lovely host recommended us some great places to eat out at a reasonable price. This meant that we were able to have some gorgeous Icelandic food without breaking the bank. The rooms were really comfortable and clean too. We hope to visit Iceland again and will definitely stay here when we do.
The host was very friendly and provided good suggestions regarding activities and, more importantly, food! The facilities were nice. I would definitely go back.
The only complaint was that we got pretty warm while sleeping. There wasn't a good way to open the window without a streetlight shining in.
the house is very beautiful and 8 love the kitchen！
Cute house and cozy. The owners were not there to greet us but made it very easy to enter the house and find our room. It is less than ten minutes to downtown Reykjavik and less expensive to stay as such. I appreciated the labeling and instructions to use some of the kitchen items.
The bed was not very comfortable and pillows were very flat. The breakfast options were average. The wood floors are old and the doors to the rooms creak, so it can be noisy with other guests staying at the house. The check - out process is very casual, which makes a me a little nervous regarding payment for the room.
Zeno has a great thing hidden away outside of downtown Reykjavik. I met him only for a few minutes the night before I left, but he was friendly and welcoming. His house is well furnished with everything you could need for your visit. The breakfast selection was great, and you didn't have to eat within normal times. If you don't mind a bus ride (or a walk, it took about an hour for me to get to the city center) I would highly recommend this place.
All good! Moreover, u can walk up to a little hill, to have a really nice view of the city, and also 15 min walk to a secret hot spring hole near the seaside, if weather is good, u can see the volcano too, nice. Also, may can a nice look of sunset and sunset.
Location kind of not so convenience, unless u have a car. U need to take bus #11 to the city, bus comes every half hrs. And since not every daytour co. Or pickup svc will organize svc for this B&B,so need to ask the host for such info.
Best tip We got from Zeno: go hitchhiking in iceland ;-)
There was a TV in our room, which was connected with Apple TV. But unfortunately it wasn't possible to buy anything - so an unnecessary gadget.
Our host was pleasant and had answers to our questions. The house was spotless and offered both a great location, very comfortable beds and a wonderful option of a do it yourself breakfast at your own time. The location was perfect for photographers. We could reach downtown Reykjavik in 10 minutes or head to the lighthouse only a few blocks away for sunset photos.
Late arrival possible Self-service Breakfast (so you can eat whenever you want) Very clean
- home made bread in the morning - cosy house with big tube
Great place to day outside the city center of Reykjavik. In a residential and peaceful area. Very well equipped, very comfortable, with very friendly owner! Great deal in the city :)
This is a home not a hotel. You feel like you can do whatever. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook anything you desire. The bathtub is big enough for two people and it perfect for a romantic setting with no rush. It's far enough away from the city so it's quiet and can be back in the main city center in 5 min.
24 hour coffee, pretty view, nice people
Expensive, but everything in Iceland is expensive.
very nice owner, good tips nice atmosphere self made bread
This is a very nice little B&B with shared kitchen and bathroom. The owners are totally friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. The place is located in Seltjarnes, a suburb of Reykjavik located about 4 km to the west from the centre of Reykjavik, on a peninsula. There is a bus that goes directly to the centre at least every half hour. Great value for your money as compared to prices in downtown Reykjavik
Perhaps not an ideal option if you want to party in the city center and come home very late
Great Welcome with tons of tips and advices about the city (what to do / see, where to eat). Excellent B&B. Very quite place. We are enthusiastic about our stay at Blue Hour B&B
"Home away from home" - indeed. We felt so at home and Jenny & Zeno as hosts are wonderful. We got many valuable tips from Zeno on what to see in Iceland and they always made sure to ask if there's anything they could do to help in order to make our trip better. Whenever we are in Reykjavik area in the future, we will definitely be staying at the Blue House.
Self Check in and Check out. Cosy House. Nice and quiet Location 5 min from downtown
