Great location behind the main road along the seafront. View from our deluxe room over the bay to Esja mountain was beautiful. This view, and around to the rest of the city, can also be seen from the 8th floor breakfast room. Breakfast choice was fantastic with hot and cold buffets. The room was adequate size with safe, power shower and comfortable bed. A cable was provided from reception for internet. The TV had only a few channels. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is OK, 4 spaces at the back and 1 at the front. On street parking is cheap (and free overnight). Easy to get out of the city along the main road in front of the hotel. We didn't get to use the free spa, instead went twice to the Blue Lagoon. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff are all quite friendly. The breakfasts are incredible. They have a bit of everything. As it is a self-serve you don't feel bad taking as much as you like of the things you like. It is well situated for the center of town, but just enough off the main street to be away from the noise.

Nice spa, very clean hotel, helpful staff, ok breakfast, quite close to shopping street and restaurants Room was supposed to be a deluxe twin room, but didn't have neither bath tub nor sea/mountain view as described for those rooms. Was propably room for an extra bed, but nothing more either. Some drawers for clothes and a couple of more pegs for stuff in the bathroom would have been nice, Felt a bit wired having to walk from room in a bathrobe in order to get to the spa (and stop by the reseption to ask them to let us into spa). Room/bathroom felt a bit to small for two persons when going there with a friend and not as a couple

The design of the hotel is lovely, the beds very comfortable, and it's just far enough from the main streets that the weekend noise doesn't reach it. The view of the bay and of Esja was beautiful. We really enjoyed the multiple spaces for socializing, and the top floor restaurant was chic and sweeping views. The staff was very accommodating about helping with reservations including being late to book the return to the airport. The spa is gorgeous. 30 Euros for an early check-in was a bit steep, especially when many other hotels don't charge for this. Perhaps a clock in the room.

Great value, great location and excellent value for money. Really near the excitement of town, very easy to get to everywhere by foot. Really liked the buffet breakfast and the fact it was available early (7am) until later (10am) so there was no need to hurry. I would stay at CenterHotel Arnarhvoll again!

Staff wasn't overly helpful; not welcoming. Not a good place to identify tours. Staff doesn't go above to volunteer information, fix or improve situations. Leak inside of my hotel room at 3:50am - not an offer to compensate us, or see if our stuff was ruined. No effort at all. We were forced to move and had a horrible sleep. Reputation is everything; and it seems this hotel missed this point completely.

Fantastic location, close to Harpa Conference Centre and a short walk to shops and restuarants. Room kept clean, good views. Generous breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. I expected more from the 'Spa' - I had anticipated the facility would be accompanied by a massage service, but it was just a sauna. The sound proofing in the hotel was poor, and I could often hear the people in the next room and traffic from the street.

Staff are extremely helpful and nice. Location is excellent; 3 minute walk from the main shopping and social areas (Laugavegour). The view was fantastic once we requested to be moved to the sea-side of the hotel (originally the view was overlooking the carpark. Hated the fact that a double bed comes with 2 single duvets... And there is no option of getting a double duvet. Ideal for couples who don't get on with each other but otherwise an awful experience if you like sharing a bed with your partner. Only thing is that this appears to be the norm in Reykjavik... But it did seriously impact the pleasure of our stay since the idea was to spend quality time together. Raddisson do have an option on a double duvet - I contacted them and considered moving. Tv didn't work for the first day/night... And there is no movie option. Basically great location & staff without any of the frills.

Wonderful view over the bay and the mountain from our deluxe twin room. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection (had it 4 mornings). Great with spa facility in basement; lovely hot tub and steam and regular saunas. We used it every day! The spa facility was included in the room price for the deluxe room. Hotel within walking distance to city attractions. Bathroom rather small with shower and no tub, but worked for us. Could hear traffic from road outside but was no problem at night (less traffic and window closed). Comfortable beds.

Breakfast was great. Spa was nice. Stayed at the hotel July 25-July 28 2011. We had book a Deluxe-room with a sea/mountain view guaranteed according to Bookings.com, but the window was to backyard. Told this to the reception and they promised to to talk with the manager, but the manager didn't ever take contact to us. No discount was given nor we offered to change the room. Last morning we had an early departure and had booked an early breakfast. When we arrived everything was eaten and the clerk reported that sixty people came and ate everything. Wonder why the clerk couldn't say to them that the breakfast wasn't for them and save the food for us who had made the reservation as was asked in the hotel's book. At the end we got one raw croissant. Not very nice ending to our trip.

Central location, quiet area/no internal noise, breakfast choice/selection, comfortable beds, comfortable lounge, staff friendliness/helpfulness, cleaning standards, TV with English Told 'includes free spa access' - this was not true, small breakfast room/ not enough tables, very small bedroom without air conditioning and unable to open the window wide, could be more generous with towels

Great location close to main shopping/restaurants; views of the harbor; delicious hot breakfast; clean and comfortable; black-out curtains; friendly and helpful staff - even responded to emails before my trip; and again, location! Because no carpet in rooms, can hear people moving furniture and walking with heels above us; tiny shower; no air conditioning so room a little stuffy but can open a little window.

The location was great. It is near the ocean and an easy walk into town. The hot tub in the basement was awesome as was the sauna, although you need to hit a start button. I had the whole spa area to myself when I went into it. Fabulous! Breakfast Buffet is on the 8th floor with a great view. Room had wired internet and a flat screen TV with many English channels! Water pressure and hot water is great and lots of hot water. The shower is ridiculously poorly designed and everything in the bathroom will get wet when you shower. I stayed on the 3rd floor with an ocean view and it was a terribly load room with the street light shinning right in. It took me a day to notice the blackout blinds! I could hear footsteps above me for what seemed like all night! I could also hear all the cars on the highway below.

The staff in the hotel were very helpful and there was 24 hour cover on the reception desk. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Breakfast was excellent, there was a wide choice for all tastes and nationalities from the waffle machine to fish to cooked eggs. View from the restaurant was beautiful. It was nice to have the spa facilities after the active trips we went on. If anything, the spa could have had some instructions on how to use the sauna/steam room. The rooms could have done with a little more storage space like drawers.

The off season price is a good value and the breakfast is a good value for being included in the room price. We have now stayed there five time and I would say one of the biggest problem is the noise from the adjacent rooms or the rooms above you. The rooms also tend to be a bit on the small side, but we just sleep there so it is not that big of a problem for us however other may not be so accomodating.
