We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived at the hotel , and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast selection , and we would say , there was something there to suit everyones tastes. Nice and quiet , and fantastic views. Within less than 5 minutes walking to many shops and restaurants

Hotel location is great, rooms are comfy and clean, breakfast was awesome, loved the spa. There is also free parking! We weren't fans of the "open" showers ensuite, but it wasn't a major issue. Reception staff had great restaurant recommendations.

The spa area was great.....very friendly and helpful staff....booked some adventures for us and answered many questions about city and area.

The shower allowed water to flow onto the bathroom floor.....this was OK however could have used some extra towels to mop up.

We liked the courtesy displayed by the friendly staff at reception. Very helpful. The view from the Sky bar was spectacular. a very nice place to have breakfast. We also enjoyed the health spa area.

The single beds pushed together to make a double always left one of sinking between them, and the lack of a double duvet didnt exactly make the best sleeping arrangement as a couple

The views are absolutely amazing. We were in room 511 and had a clear view of the bay and mountains beyond. The rooms are large for Europe and clean, small bathroom but this is typical and more than adequate. While you won't want to spend much time in your room with all there is to see and do in Reykjavik and the surrounding countryside, leaving that view is difficult. The city center is just a few minutes walk away with shopping, restaurants, and statues galore along the shore walk and throughout the city. The famous church is easily within walking distance, as is the Perlan (if you dont mind a 40 minute hike - we had great weather so no problem). I didn't see any other hotels in the area that could match that experience. Also, free breakfast is served on the top floor with more great views of the harbor, bay, and mountains.

Stone floor makes you hear any movement above you, especially at night. In my room tv did not work properly - it was showing one channel permanently. Remote control worked, led was flashing, but without any effect on the tv set itself.

All the staff very very helpful and friendly at all times and very knowledgeable about day trips and the city in general. Fantastic views from our room. Close to city centre, harbour and shops. Breakfasts were good

When we stayed the restaurant was closed in the evenings. Carpets on landings could be a bit cleaner

Great staff, good breakfast, the small spa is a nice bonus after a day of hiking. Rooms can appear small but hey, you are in Iceland not in Canada ! Everything is supra clean !

There should be a separate rate for rooms with a view on the bay and the mountain... I payed the deluxe one, on the purpose of having a view and ended up looking at the street. I would have liked to know this before paying the deluxe rate...

The Spa was brilliant, the staff even better!

Rooms were a little on the small side, breakfast was a little boring.

I liked it all. Good location, great staff, nice clean rooms. Wonderfull breakfast.

Not enough staff manning reception. Only one person when we arrived with a large que of people waiting to check in.

The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help. It's location is great... Very short walk from the main streets and downtown Reykjavik. The view was amazing, seeing Mt Esja really lifts your spirt. Room was always up to standard. Breakfast buffet stocked and topped up. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone and will be considered on my next trip to Iceland - Reykjavik

- Bad wi-fi connection - Filthy hallways - Spa option is bad value as it is not worth paying for: hot tub was luke warm, sauna was not turned on, must wait to gain access to it in your bikini & housecoat until hotel staff can open the door, etc. - breakfast coffee was very cheap and not drinkable - juices were all watered down immensly

The room was excellent and kept to a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and eager to help, breakfast was also very tasty! In addition the hotel spa was brilliant and was a great place to relax at the end of the day.

Nice clean atmosphere, friendly staff and good service.

We specialy booked a deluxe room to get more space and better room, this was a big dissapointment as we got a small room that was very hot. It was also a dissapointment that we Could not use the roof terrasse when the restaurant was closed.

The lkindness of the staff, the position is by the sea, in front of the music hall (spectacular building) very close to the city center but quite. The sauna/thermal bath area in the basement is nice but can be better.

Breakfast is ok (great view thou), the sauna doesn't work well annd they miss a rest zone.

We loved the hospitality of the staff and location . The hot tub / spa facilities were excellent . However the panaroma resturant was a disappointment .

Bad Service, Mini Bar not refilled, the standard answer sorry we are not able......

Amazing locaion, close both to the centre of the city and to the see.

The room was cleaned only twice during our eight night stay. Breakfasts are quite poor as well.
