Pretty room and (surprisingly for Iceland) good breakfast. Was a little bit noisy : we arrived during week-end and the Hotel is located near a pub / club. |

The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The food at breakfast was good quality. there were some great photos in a room near the elevator which were a nice touch - they were great. We stayed here for a few nights then travelled around and returned for a final night but were put in a cramped, dark room - not like the first time. |

Room decor excellent and comfortable. nice shower and good size bathroom Noise outside hotel due to all night partying. breakfast was good but no variance in menu and some times the eggs and sausage and bacon was cold. mini refrigerator did not work and staff said nothing could be done about it as the hotel was full therefore they couldnot tranfer a working one to us. the curtain that blocks out the daylight (24 hrs) rod was broken and not fixed during our stay. but it was a great place to stay |

I was upgraded to a deluxe room which featured a huge bathtub. Given that it rained 2 of the days I stayed in Reykjavik, the tub was appreciated (the tub was angled so that you could watch TV from it as well as from the bed). The room was stylish and the bed comfortable. The staff were knowledgeable about the area and helpful in giving directions and suggestions. The only thing that I really didn't like about the hotel (which likely applies to ALL hotels near or in the downtown core) is that the partying on the weekends is so loud that if you have a street facing window and don't wish to join the merry-making, you might have a problem. On the second of 2 sleepless nights, I called reception (at about 5am) and asked about earplugs. "Of course," was the reply and I received them straight away. Advice: ask for the earplugs earlier than me (before attempting to sleep on Friday night). Less problematic was that while the essentials were cleaned well everyday, the tub wasn't cleaned after every use nor the bathroom amenities replaced. |

Great room and design. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Couple of issues with the tv and the type of room but resolved efficiently by the Front Desk. |

Power shower was excellent! Interesting bathroom with glass partition made it very modern and functional. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. I used the hotel for a business trip and was alone so my room was a double but would have been very tight for 2 people. Noise was not as big an issue as I assumed (from other reviews) even with window open. Very good choices for breakfast and am staff kept the supply of food fresh and plentiful. High intensity lights made the room very warm. No air conditioning in rooms and only one small window made the room extremely hot!! |

Hotel is very stylish with great decor. Location is right in the centre of Reykjavik. Breakfast is very good for included in the price. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was very small - I would hate to think what a standard was like but we didnt spend much time in the room so it wasnt so bad. The mini bar fridge and the hair dryer didnt work, when we explained to reception about the mini bar they said yes most of them dont. |

We were given a double room by mistake but no problem changing to a twin room on arrival, which was also much bigger. The shower was great! Comfortable bed. |

We have stayed many times in this rather special Hotel and we have especially like the design and Architectural elements. Very comfrotable rooms, and well located centrally in Reykjavik. Staff this time were a little stern and not as friendly, or as welcoming as we have seen before. The fact that your are charged in Euro is always a bad sign. |

We received a very friendly welcome to a beautifully designed hotel which just oozed Scandinavian quality. It had no visible external signage (a glass etched panel on an open door) and was so very difficult to locate |

The location of this hotel is lovely you can walk every were and Iceland is a must even in the winter. We booked for 5 days but we stayed for 7. Do not fly Iceland express they cancel our flights twice. They e-mailed us well in advance but we had to alter our plans nevertheless. Do use Iceland excursions (The gray line). They were fantastic super organised, very informative and the office is just 2min walk from the hotel. Enjoy If you expect someone to carry your suitcase to your room or someone to help you out to clear a table so you can have breakfast this is not the hotel for you. If you need help you need to ask for it and they will help you but do not expect them to offer. |

pleasant staff, good location, staff very helpful with organising day trips and recommending places to eat. Buffet breakfast was good but the eggs were cold every morning the room we were given initially was extremely small and we asked to be moved, it was no problem to be moved but the difference in the 2 rooms both standard double was extreme. I thought this was a bit strange. The entire time of our stay we had no tv in our room and when we asked about it at reception we were told it was due to bad internet connection, we were then promised a free drink at the bar which we never got. |

Very helpful and knowledgable staff who helped us with tips on where to go, booking trips, even ordering pizza! The leather look floor in the room and all design features were pretty cool. Brilliant location too. Breakfast had a great variety. |

Location - right on the main shopping street. Very near all the restaurants and bars. Didn't have any problem with noise from the street. Tour organisation - pick up from and drop-off to hotels excellent. Breakfast basic enough but all the essentials on offer. |
