The staff on the front desk were very helpfull and polite. The hotel is situated for easy walkable access to the centre of town and resturants and also only a short trip to main attractions.

Location is great - close to everything - that is, in Reykjavik, as I would recommend renting a car to see the rest of the island. If you are a skilled(!) driver, rent a 4x4 and take the narrow roads around (and READ about driving here!) - otherwise, take tours! Don't rent a VW Polo ;-) Rooms look nice - some with an odd way of placing bed etc. Parking is OK - as they say - they don't have a parking lot - and trust me, they don't. It's fairly easy to park mon-thu in the street but late friday is a nightmare.

This hotel is WAY overpriced! We lived in New York for the same price in at room of double size! The first room we got had mould on one wall - so bad you could see water had been running down the paint! We of course brought this matter to the receptionst who gave us another room - strange they haven't noticed it.. Now, with a bit more picky attitude, we have experienced the following with this room; TV not working, defective light bulps - and missing light bulps. Heavy noise for nearby discos. Window can not be shut tight. Lack of room service. Boring breakfast - we attended at 9:30 and the milk served for corn flakes was warm. We had a king size bed but only one person bed linnen. Absolutely impossible to adjust water taps in temperature unless you want to spend the whole day trying. Last - but not least - hose from shower head to water tap was to short so I would have to bend to wash my hair - and I'm only 174cm/5ft3" tall... I wouldn't go for this hotel again...

As has been mentioned in at least one other review there is some noise from a nearby club/bar well into the small hours on a Saturday night.

Excellent location and care by the staff, a good breakfast, a nice bar, cute rooms.

Would like to see a spa or sauna added to the hotel in next upgrade. Guests should also be advised of delays on FlyBus departures for the airport and any cancelled booked trips such as the Northern Lights. In both cases we spent more than 45 minutes inside or outdoors awaiting pickups, and in winter than can be cold.

Really excellent hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Located right in the middle of the commercial area of town, location couldn't be better for those with just a couple days to spend. Front desk staff was very helpful in helping us get around.

It is definetly too expensive, I'd stayed in five star hotels by less money.. not ofcourse, in Island, but still.. maybe 110 € is propriate value for one night..

Staff extremely gracious and helpful at all times. Decor fascinating and interesting. Very comfortable and relaxing. Location perfect, experience lovely.
