Excellent position, clean and the room was large enough to be comfortable. Convenient ensuite bathroom. Overall, very good value for money.
The street in front of the guesthouse can be very noisy early in the night.
Very well located at the heart of the city. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Good internet. The owners Orvar and Margret are very attentive and courteous. They did all for my stay being perfect. I feel they were born to receive people. I highly recommed that Guesthouse !
Margret was an amazing hostess, providing answers to all queries, assisting with planning activities, being flexible with my travel dates and times and 24hr check-in. The room was great value for money. I had my own ensuite, bed, heater, storage space, was secure and I was able to come and go at any time I pleased.
There is nothing to dislike about this location
The guesthouse is situated close to the Harpa Concert Hall on a main street with plenty of options for eating. Rooms are suitable for an overnight stop.
Rooms are suitable for an overnight stop but for longer stays there is a lack of drawers in the room.
Central location and comfy bed and great value
great location the owner is very nice, he gave us tips and a mini tour of the neighborhood as soon as we arrived. the room was spacious and clean.
bathroom is a bit dated, but it was clean.
This guesthouse has an excellent location and the owner is friendly, flexible and accommodating.
Because it's downtown, it can be a little noisy at night.
Friendly owner, great feel to the building and in a great central location
WiFi didn't reach my room as advertised
Price was ok,location great. Nice cafeteria couple of steps from guesthouse that opened early for breakfast. Free and working wifi.
Need's renovar, room's are not very clean, night club next door is quite loud in weekends.
Friendly and relaxed staff gave suggestions and even walked me round the corner to a delicious breakfast spot, great (brilliant, actually) location, well-heated and nicely-cleaned room. Even during Airwaves, and being on a main street, the noise was barely a problem and never stopped me sleeping. Would stay again without hesitation!
- Excellent & Friendly Staff -- assisted me even prior to my arrival - Super reliable Wifi connection - Bed/room comfort - Safety
Very charming, comfortable, and welcoming guest house. Location is fantastic and in the middle of everything. Highly recommended!
The stuffs couldn't be there when I arrived but gave the check in informations in advance. They are very friendly and helpful all the time. The room was warm and comfy. The hotel is at the city center and near the office for Grey Line, that's a bonus for me.
Closed the window but still hear the traffic. I still have a good night sleep though.
The room The location The owners were friendly Very clean
We didn't mind it but you could think it was noisy at weekends
I liked the location of the guesthouse, which was central and perfect in order to reach all the important sights. The staff was excellent and very friendly. I felt very welcome thanks to my host.
In my opinion the beds were a bit too soft, and I had troubles falling asleep.
Location in city center Possibility to park your car for free in front of hotel even it has not it's own parking Hygiene
I booked a single room with shared bathroom but was upgraded to a double ensuite room ^^ The room was also well decorated
The room was not made up on any of the 4 subsequent days after my first night's stay. I haven't gotten the chance to meet the staff during my stay too which made it difficult to ask them for assistance (such as getting me a hairdryer or making a local telephone call)
I really enjoyed the Centric Guesthouse! Really nice, classic looking rooms, extremely friendly and attentive staff, and perfect location. I had an amazing sleep.
The only thing I didn't like was the noise coming from the building next door. I've heard that this is only an occasional problem, so I probably just had a bit of bad luck.
Location The service, I got what I requested and it was friendly
Noise during the night from some bar/disco nearby. My window didn't close properly, so I guess in the wintertime it might be a bit cold in the room...
location and price
The guesthouse is next to Lavabarrin, a nightclub that will keep you awake Friday and Saturday nights. The music stopped 04.30 on morning, not good for sleep. In essense not recommended for a weekend getaway unless you plan to be out very late.
Our room was nice, well furnished and clean
To get to our room we had to go through some strange back corridor which looked like it was the emergency exit to a club. The door to our room was not very sturdy and I did not feel particularly safe. The shared bathrooms for the other rooms were not very clean.
central position of the apt. it was clean and it was trendy
no staff at all, we had 1 email the week before the bathroom door that does not close 2 single beds instead of a couple, at least, a single double bed sheet to avoid the bed to keep going apart the worst was the friday night, it is close to a night club so no sleep until 3:30 am, not the best when you need to wake up at 4 for the plane to catch
Great view, very safe, great natural light, lots to do in walking distance. Coffee shop, restaurants and bars just outside the front door. The owners were nothing but smiles and very helpful and friendly!
The room was a tad pricy for what you get (basic room) but location trumps quality for us! Cabs are very expensive in Iceland so it was nice to be in walking distance to everything. That being said, we found value in putting more money towards a hotel so that we didn't have to pay for transportation.
This guesthouse is a perfect base for making the most of Reykjavik, and I highly recommend the inspiration and advice given by the host :)
Owners are great. We arrived a few days after they bought the place and they were very accommodating and friendly. They helped with directions and other questions we had about the city. I would definitely stay here again.
