Center location, nice staff that can help to solve your problems, including day tour booking, flybus booking, dinner cancellation etc. Nice hotel room and bathroom with good view
We got a deluxe double room for €120 which is slightly pricey but was worth everything we loved about it.
The staff had been excellent and extremely helpful during our stay - well above our expectations. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I definitely will come back and stay at this hotel if I ever stay in Reykjavik again!
Breakfast, Location and Staff all very nice. Bathroom was clean and maid was prompt.
Staff and location are superb. Will stay here the next time I return to Reykjavik!!
Had to threaten to set off the fire alarm to get attention. Mobile on reception counter with no instructions. rang out when finally used. Rude bar staff person unable to notice the presence of human beings.
Great location for restaurants and shops etc. Front desk staff were excellent and very helpful
Cleaning of rooms and communal areas (excluding reception area) was a bit of a let down
Internet connection was poor although they did apologise for fact they were changing Internet providers whilst we were there. Wifi could only be received whilst sitting in reception
location, staff, hospitality, price compared to anything else around, night life
- room very small, hardly finding space between pieces of furniture - could not access internet, except the lobby. I heard this was only temporary but it didnt help me much...
Location; nice clean room; helpful and friendly staff
The wi-fi did not work in the rooms, but we were told that the hotel is in the process of changing Operator. It was inconvenient when you plan work in peace. But the wifi worked well in the reception/bar area.
Comfortable bed. Room high up and on back side of hotel. Location.
Lack of a bar/lounge. The tv barely worked at all.
The hotel was close to the main sights of the city. The old harbour was a stone throw a way. It's a 2 minutes gentle stroll to the Tjörn (small lake). The Hallgrímskirkja (the concrete church) is 4 minutes gentle walk up the small hill and is worth a visit to the top of the church to see the whole beautiful city and sights beyond.
The guy at the reception during the day was exceptionally helpful and welcoming.
the nice looking wardrobe didn't smell very good. Presumably the fact that the Wi-Fi wasn't working over 2 days was just bad luck.
We loved our stay. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We purchased the morning breakfast. While the value was not great, the food was very good.
Small and friendly hotel in an excellent location. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We had a fantastic break in this hotel
Rooms were a little too hot at times
Nice beds and very central location
Breakfast very poor, just couple of items to eat Rooms can be very small No room service No food in the hotel only some premade sandwiches Bathroom wasn't very clean and with broken shower head Wifi signal weak or dropes all the time
The location was excellent, room clean and comfortable, staff friendly and efficient
Wifi was a little slow. Room a bit tired and worn out (noisy fridge, temperamental hair dryer and tv).
Front desk staff went over & above to help make my stay enjoyable & help me with travel arrangements.
Breakfast was a bit boring. It was the same thing everyday.
Very central location (couldn't be better), reception staff great, nice breakfast, room clean (with mini bar - greatly appreciated),
Slight noise from bar outside but not a big problem (we were very tired), nothing else
Hotel was in the perfect location for exploring Reykjavik. View over the square was lovely. Breakfasts were very nice. Room was very comfortable. Lots of hot water for showers and baths. Would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was a bit limited. Bacon was hard. They ran out of water melon. Bar was rather noisy in the evenings.
Great location in the city, however this has a dark side (see additional comments). Staff was great and the best part of our stay.
We stayed on a weekend and on the 2nd floor (both bad choices). The hotel is next to dance clubs which generate clubbing crowds and the music was noticeable in the room. We did not have a good night sleep due to the pounding music and drunk patrons (this went on until 5am when we left for our flight). The accommodations are also rather spartan. Not bad, but nothing great either.
Great location and good service from staff.
Very small rooms but this had to be expected in Iceland.
Had to pay a cancellation fee of 200 euros as booking.com messed up.
Central local.comfortable bed. nice staff.
Unexpected noise from breakfast room that turns into a bar until 5am next morning . This continues with patrons leaving the venue in the street. Hotel should inform guests when they book or leave lower floors to under 25's.
Clean room. Friendly service, Excellent breakfast.
Tricky to find.
