The main guy at reception (Icelandic male brown hair) was fantastic. He was extremely helpful and was always willing to follow up on any queries we had with tours, call operators and get back to us. There was a blonde female at reception who was also pleasant and helpful. The blonde guy was useless. The whole time we stayed there (7 nights) the beds were not made once. We had to ask for fresh towels and for the bins to be emptied. There were several days where this did not happen. The cleaning guy just forgot about us. |

Reykjavik is quite small anyway, but this hotel is around 5 mins walk from the centre, so good location. Staff friendly. |

It was conveniently located near the city center, as well as on a quiet street. The cost was very moderate, and did include breakfast. The elevator was a little strange and would halt to an immediate stop at my floor. I don't know if that's typical of an Icelandic elevator, or if this one was just a little old. |

Close to city center, privacy, If furniture is broken, fix it or take it out of the room. Bed sheets were clean but the floor was not. At least not under the bed and in the corners. The curtains smelled like someone had smoked in the room. I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing out what you can do better. |

Budget and overpriced for that. TV did not work. Room did not appear to have had any maintenance or been updated since the 1970s |

Good location just by the city center. Basic room with clean sheets. Good, basic breakfast. Friendly service 24h. Nice "youthful" atmosphere. Thin toilet door and stinky shower. The TV didn't work at all. Checkout as early as 11 (which is a bit tight considering the Reykjavik nightlife!). |

The hotel is located very close to the city center (or 20 minut walk from bus terminal). Main shopping street and seafront are at 5 minutes walking distance. Very friendly staff will help you in most situation - how to find or where to go etc. Cosy 4 floor building at quiet street. |

I was not expecting much because of privious comments. The hotel is very well located, the beds are very good and the staff is nice and the breakfast is simple and good. The rooms are small but it is ok if you compare it to the price. |

I do not understand how it's acceptabel to rate this hotel as 3 stars in Iceland. It's not even worth 1!!!! The rooms are filthy and small, the bathroom has many problems, the breakfast is exactly the same poor one every day, they use toilet tissue for napkins.... I had to change rooms 3 times and still there were unresolved issues. |

It was excellent value for money, being only a few minutes walk from the downtown area and the harbour. The staff were friendly and breakfast was simple, but nice. Although most the staff were excellent, there were two that couldn't speak English or Icelandic and just sat messing around with their laptop, hoping no guests would ask for help. |

I liked nothing during the stay at the hotel No kettle in room; no hairdryer, room is extremely small - a bit like a student hall room, dirty - the cover blanket is stained in multiple places with god knows what. Who's given it 3 stars ??!!? |

decent location Awful noisy beds, tv with only three blurry channels, radio with only one station, view to backyard full of garbage, items on the breakfasts run out every morning and some mornings you couldn't get more even by asking, staff was blunt and not eager to help |

Basic but good value and location. Helpful staff who could answer most questions and plenty of information brochures. Breakfast simple but sufficient. Bathroom has design defects which are easily fixed. Shelf under bathroom mirror prevents using wash basin effectively. Shower space is small and without water barrier on floor, the shower water wets the entire bathroom floor as inevitably it flows under the plastic shower curtain. Bathroom door was clearly suffering from results of water damage. |

It was cheap The staff was very rude (without any reason), they woke us up in the middle of the night due to an error in their reservation system, asked us to leave the room because they thought, we didn't reserve the room and nobody ever apologized for that. And they refused to give us rather common non-paid services, such as for example calling the airport-bus for us. |

Location of the hotel; friendly and helpful personnel. Price to quality was very good. No parking place. It was not really 3-star hotel as rated by Metropolitan! |
