The management require to overhaul all their doors in order that they close quietly. Some form of net curtain is required to windows in order to offer privacy.
Staff were helpful
Scary lift Very basic breakfast Terrible bathroom Hotel is rundown
Great position in the very centre of Reykjavik, 3 minutes walk from the main square. The manager of the hotel was helpful.
The room, and the bed in particular, were too small for two persons. It wasn't very clean, we found lots of hair on bed linens and the towels weren't clean. The bathroom doesn't have a bathtub so the entire bathroom gets wet when you take a shower. Luckily I had my flip flops with me, I wouldn't feel confortable standing barefoot on the wet bathroom floor. The breakfast was poor. Definitely overpriced, I expected much more for that price.
Location, up graded to triple room for free and good WIFI
Not very clean, the reception is empty most of the time no breakfast included.
Room was freezing Bathroom
Location is excellent. Private bathroom, which seems to be rare for this price range. Clean and comfortable. Thick walls so I didn't hear others (although street noise was still there). The best deal I found in expensive Rekyjavik.
Reception closes from 8:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and you can't get into hotel without a guest key. If you arrive late, you need to let them know.
i booked this hotel because of its location as i wanted to be near the marina, rest of the facilities were also satisfying.
The area was great, the staff was wonderful, a special Thank you to Katrina and Siggi, you were both so helpful.I Love Iceland and I hope to come again soon!!!
There is nothing to not like!
The manager, Jonas, was so very helpful as we arrived early in the morning and he did everything possible to get us into our quarters. He was our first experience with the Icelandic Folk and he was not an exception. Everyone in Iceland seems to be very friendly and helpful.
Everything was great!
Location was great and the fact they could accommodate late check-in.
Not staffed 24hrs. No real shower base - bathroom floor ended up flooded every time you have a shower. Very small lift - can only take 1 person and 1 bag.
Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Water in shower was extremely warm, we were not able to regulate it properly. It was tolerable when the focet was completely open. Water pressure was good though!
feel I should burn my luggage on my clothes, afraid of bedbugs
Very convenient location, would definetly stay there again.
The tv wouldn't find any channels at all, if it doesn't work it should be removed from the room
Good location, 2 blocks from the bus drop, tourist center, and "main" end of the tourist area. Simple, but clean rooms.
Noisey inside and out. All the doors slam. Hotel was doing construction every day from about 0830-1630.
Great location. We arrived at 8 am, and the staff was very kind to look at our luggage until we could check in.
Everything was fine.
Simple and clean, host was pleasant, great location. Nothing here was outstanding, but it wasn't offensive either.
Breakfast was minimal. Lodging expensive for what we got, but I think everything there is expensive for us right now.
Good staff and location and price (for Iceland)
Horrible hotel, its more like a hostel. They dont even deserve the name hotel. The service and comfort was so horrible that we changed the hotel. The toilette didnt work, the chairs were so dirty that we couldnt even sit on them. No Tv, no hairdryer, breakfast without fruits, hot eggs, orange juice. Just so bad.
Location good and breakfast was OK!
Staff were not hospitable or helpful. Excessive noise and no night clerk available. Very expensive for accommodation and service provided. Would not stay again or recommend this hotel.
The staffs were all helpful and friendly. Good location too. Facility-wise, this is a hostel rather than a hotel, but given the high hotel rate, it was a good deal for me. One suggestion. I was told that rooms are cleaned 5 times a week, which I was okay with me, but it would have been nice to know which days I should expect the cleaning :-)
1. Some of the rooms (esp rooms next to the elevator) can be quite noisy. 2. Bathrooms in general needs some attention. Rusted railings, etc. Sink is also very small. Washing face was a challenge. 3. Some of the bed covers need replacements.
Very good location, the woman at the reception is very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast starts only at 8am, which makes it difficult to eat if you need to leave the hotel early. When we asked the hotel manager about the possibility of an earlier breakfast, he was kind of upset.
Location was fine
The room was the size of a cupboard. The carpeting was really shabby (first impressions count). Duvet cover on bed was so old it was falling apart
The hotel was just what you expect for a cheap hotel well located. Nothing fancy but everything functional and clean. Simple breakfast but enough.
The hotel is centrally located, very close to the Old Harbor and to the Tourist Information. Overnight parking was easy to find in the neighborhood.
Phone calls and emails to the hotel prior to our arrival were not answered.
