This guesthouse is in the heart of Reykjavik, just around the corner from the bustling Laugavegur shopping street. It offers a shared kitchen, a TV lounge and free Wi-Fi. The dormitory rooms of Domus Guesthouse are simply furnished and have shared bathroom facilities. Apartment accommodations are also available with a full kitchen, private bathroom, TV and DVD player. A refrigerator, microwave and teakettle can be accessed in the communal kitchen. There is also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer for guests’ use. Free parking is also available on site. The staff at Domus can recommend restaurants and places to visit. the whole guesthouse was very well cleaned, also the toilettes and bathroom, possibility to do your laundry,room was relatively dark (liked it because therefor I could sleep at night) I paid for a 12 bed room and ended up staying in a 14 bed room. staff was really pissed when I stayed there on the afternoon.

The owner was extremely helpful in helping me to organise my visit - the activities and so on. The internet on the laptop in the foyer was reliable and fast - available 24 hours if need by. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, providing everything that one could possibly require. Absolutely nothing!

I recommend the Domus Guesthouse and linked Reykjavik Residence hotel very highly - charming staff who were incredibly helpful (despite having to wait up to let me in at 2am) and friendly. Central location perfect for shopping/restaurants/nightlife, as well as superb services in terms of linking you into various tours/activities outside of Reykjavik itself.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, wir konnten unser Gepäck problemlos eine Woche dort aufbewahren lassen, gute Innenstadtlage und gleichzeitig sehr ruhig. Internet umsonst, große Küche und Aufenthaltsraum. Sauberkeit und Komfort für ein Backpackers völlig ok. Es könnte mehr Duschen und Toiletten geben, allerdings war das Guesthouse zu unserer Zeit auch fast ausgebucht

L'équipement de la cuisine : on peut "faire sa vie" ; Le côté familial, convivial de la pièce commune. On a un peu l'impression d'être dans une maison. Là ça n'était pas trop le cas, mais il peut y avoir embouteillage dans la salle de bains commune le matin si les chambres sont pleines. Le petit déjeuner, certes inclus, manquait franchement de variété.

Der Service war außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit! Alles war recht neu und gepflegt. Es gibt in dem Guesthouse eine einzige Toilette, im gleichen Raum mit der Dusche. Wenn morgens alle gleichzeitig wegwollen,ist das absolut zu wenig. Ich hatte Zeit, aber wenn man früh pünktlich weg muss zB zum Bus oder Flughafen, dann wird es schnell eng ...
