location layout good value for money
A bit crowded
Perfect location, great self catering accommodation. Easy walking distance from shops/main street. . Room was lovely and warm after being out in the cold all day. Hotel manager was lovely, couldn't do enough to help. Highly recommended place to stay, will definately be returning.
Apartment was clean and tidy. Very nice
limited use of wifi, didn't work properly many times
Sell Check-in service Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher Very spacious - lots of room for coats and lots and lots of layers Warm and comfortable Friendly, helpful staff Great location in downtown Reykjavik
Everything was perfect, would go back again - 10/10. Perfect location, 5mins from the main high street and we even managed to see the Northern Lights from just outside!
We enjoyed everything about Downtown Reykjavik Apartments, the location is perfect the apartments are very clean and well equipped and really comfortable with central heating, the owner is very nice and helps with everything. It is near all shops and restaurants and is within walking distance to the harbour, church and transport links.
Good location. It is like 10 min. walk to the heart of Reykjavik. Nice place to stay in with friends or family.
I have no complaints
The self check-in and check out, the fact that there was a kitchen and the room was modern and clean. It's a great place for families with children or for groups of friends used to cook for themselves. It is perfect for longer stays and close to everything important in the city. Great choice
Nothing, everything was perfect for us.
walking distance to the town center. shop is not to far from the hotel
there are only few channels on tv
We got two large apartments for 12 people and it was great value for money (even had spare beds). Kitchens have everything u need to cook and location is close to the high streets. Beds are clean but a bit basic
Some double beds were just two beds together.
I booked Downtown Reykjavik Apartments for 6 nights in a Studio Apartment while visiting the city. The staff was super helpful and even when they weren't there you could call, from the lobby phone, at anytime and they would be there to answer any questions. The room was very clean and cozy it made coming in from the cold that much better! The kitchen was functional and catered to any quick meals. I wouldn't reccomebd making a huge meal though. The bathroom was a wet room so no concerns there for me either. Overall for a singluar traveller on a budget the room was great and I would go back in a heartbeat!
the owner was very nice on explanation on attractions and where to eat. worhwhile for second stay.
Great place, very friendly staff. First class facilities.
Kettle was broken but it was replaced straight away. Dishwasher was full when we got there but wasn't an issue
Friendly service: thanks to Thora for her help in rebooking tours, in suggesting where to go when there was a storm etc Her friendliness and warmth went a long way in making our stay a very good one. Many thanks! Vivien LER Singapore 29/11-2/12/14
From the pics we thought we would be renting more like a hotel room with a couple extra bedrooms and a kitchenette. This place was beautiful! Typical European style, amazing views, large balcony, comfortable for our 3-adult-couple family plus a little baby. Two bathrooms -both with a shower, and supplies (sugar, coffee) left over from previous renters. Would DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY rent again here!!!!! Thank you!
Iceland's hot water smells like sulphur (rotten eggs.) You can drink the tap water, just be sure to turn the water to full cold so the natural spring water doesn't taint your drinking water with sulphur. (:
Well stocked kitchen Some food that had been left for us Closeness to supermarket Closeness to main street in Reykjavik Closeness to city attractions (museums, shopping, food) Warm and cozy
2 single beds instead of double but not a big deal No bathmat so we had to use a hand towel Strong smell of sulphur everytime we turned on the hot water but this is true anywhere in Iceland...
All mod cons included. Very friendly staff. Great location. Parking spaces available around the back. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Kitchen with facilities
the toilet is quite small
It was absolutely amazing, enjoyed my time and the flexibility of staff and the whole facility.
Great location just outside of the fun city area, convenient, just what you need to sleep, eat and stay in the city.
Not a place you'd want to spend much time. Not a bad thing necessarily, but it just meets basic needs. Hot water is smelly, but the info book warns of this!
The manager was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and warm, and well provisioned for the price. It's in a good location for access to most of Reykjavik.
No plug for the sink. No shampoo in the shampoo dispenser, or if it was in there it refused to come out.
The apartments provide ample parking and are within easy reach of all the main routes out of Reykjavik so ideal if you have a hire car. There are two stores close by for food, a 1011 convenience store just round the corner and a Bonus supermarket about a 10 minute walk away. The aprtments are very warm and cosy to return to of an evening.
A little noisy with people coming and going but then I was in a studio on the ground floor, close to reception and the noise was very short lived.
Perfect location perfect apartment for 7 girls.
The location was quite close to downtown, and was fairly quiet.
The studio apartment was very small for 3 adults, and was in the basement. We did not know that. The extra bed was made up of cushions from the sofa, and was not that comfortable. It also had a configuration for a table, which we did not use.
