I liked the reception of the staff, the view I had from my windows, the beautiful mountains of Súlur, the big breakfast I could have and how well situated the hotel is, just few minutes from the town central. |

Big room, new building. We first booked one on the rooms with lavabo and shared bathrooms but then quickly decided to change our booking after seeing the rooms. They were small, with separate beds and the building hosting them has no elevator. For a few krones more you could get a much nicer room in the new building (with elevator and private bathroom). |

Akureyri is stunning, well worth the 5 hour drive from Reyjavik No double bed and no tea making facilities (V important). Value for money compared to the rest of Europe was not so great. |
