Hotel Edda Vík

Nothing much except the courtesy of the receptionist.

A basic hotel, more a motel type. Dining room in the middle of corridor share the smell and noise with all rooms. Poor hotel.

Location and size of room

Really nice location, we had the small cottages which had view on the beach and you only had one neighbour in the cottage. good location for puffin watching

Vik only has a few hundred residents and therefore there is almost no place where you can eat. We ate at the gas station across the street, which was not as bad as it sounds, but definately not my preferred choice for food.

The location: near to the beach and a resautrant, shop and fuel station. The accomodation is basic but clean and the beds are confortable. The hotel provides towels and shower gel. and other good point, the shower had a good pressure.

The wi-fi is only available around the reception area. The breakfest is quite expensive.

this place is great. the staff helpful and friendly. the location just right the adjacent countryside spectacular and this so well located for exploration. the rooms are pristine and well cared for. we left a jacket there by accident and the staff so helpful in making sure it is shipped and we get it back- going the extra mile!!!

everything was good especially the view? location and black beach, nice small window to the hill.

The situation is perfect, near the sea. We stayed at a cottage and it was small, cozy and very clean.

Breakfast is not included in the price.

Perfect solution if you want to stay in charming city of Vik. The rooms are basic but very comfortable.

Good location, on route 1, very clean, all rooms have private bathrooms, which is quite rare in Iceland. New hotel, good breakfast.

The price was quite high for this kind of hotel.

Rooms were clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. Location is quite perfect as the beautiful black beaches are within convenient walking distance.

You'd rather want to arrive not too late because the restaurant opposite the hotel closes at 22:00 and you might be left hungry. Very few to no alternatives at all.

It was the best Edda Hotel among of them we stayed in. We got a bungalow with to separed appartman. It was very comfortable, practical and clean. The staff was helpfuly. The breakfast was good. We could wach the Trolls in the see all th time.

we were in the economy rooms which i loved because yet again they were a little unusually not stuck in a big hotel.

the bathrooms a little small for bigger people.

Location was great and the view from the cottages was amazing! It was handy as we were travelling as a small group to have the attached cottage so we could all still be together.

Have to pay for Wifi - I usually don't mind, but most hotels in Iceland offer it for free!

The room was tiny.no T.V. only one chair. No restaurant on premises. Highly overpriced for what they provide.

Hotel close to the main road but very quiet. Very nice, big and clean room. Coffee and tee available in the room.

la location e la struttura

La situation géographique de l'hôtel, au milieu du village et avec vue sur la mer. Les petits cottages très agréable et la propreté des lieux. Le restaurant Strondin, conseillé à notre arrivée par le personnel de l'hôtel et qui était vraiment excellent avec un service très agréable.

El desayuno

Las sabanas sucias, el baño super pequeño al igual que las camas. Mejor coger una habitacion en el hotel que ademas de mas economicas son mas grandes que en las cabañas.

Sin responder a las características hoteleras a las que estamos acostumbrados aquí, es de lo mejor que he encontrado en Islandia.Algo caro para el servicio que ofrece, pero aceptable y limpio.Bueno para hacer una parada antes de iniciar el camino del este.
