My room was warm and clean. I could let myself in and out at any time.
No proper kitchen facilites for self catering. Just a microwave, small cups, bowls and cutlery. Had to get water from your own room. No kettle. Staff leave a flask which sometimes has hot water in but suggest a charge for drinks made this way,
The location was good. Rooms were good.
Staff were rude, wifi did not reach the rooms (just communal area), bathroom weren't that clean. No access to the kitchen, it was for staff only. Guests just had a microwave and a small container of hot water that ran out quickly. Breakfast was rubbish and way overpriced.
The guy host was really nice, helpful and accommodating. It was clean, peaceful and quiet. Location was quite good.
The girl hostess was a rude and annoying. We feel that the price we paid for the guesthouse's rent-a-car was overpriced.
- Comfortable beds, Good temperature, Ideal for backpackers. - Awesome facilities in public area, what a backpacker needs: Microwave, Dishes. - Good wifi in most of the house - fair and clean shared bathrooms
- no notification of the charge when paying by card.. I had cash. - rooms are small, couldn't open 2 bags at the same time.
It's clean, neat, comfy and walk distance from the city centre
There's no kitchen for guests, only for stuff.
They are applying a dishonest pricing policy. We booked a room advertised with a price or 56 euros but we ended paying more than 71. When you arrive they don't give you the possibility to pay in cash (so they add a commission of 5% by default). Then, they apply an incorrect exchange rate and this is how you end paying 15 euros more than the advertised price. Without a doubt, the worst place I've been staying in Reykjavík.
clean room, bathroom quite good
no kitchen facilities
Comfortable , good location , easy check in and check out ,
The upstairs bathroom didn't work and some of host aren't very weren't very friendly .
Excellent location, comfortable beds, good price. Affordable place to stay...once in your lifetime.
Attitude towards guests was a bit surprising. There is no stuff when you arrive, have to find your name on dirty piece of paper and take the key, they charge your credit card in advance without asking, so human contact is minimum. When we finally met a girl who works there she looked and acted as...let's say as really unhappy with her job, however male stuff member was really nice.
Great location and price. Older classic Icelandic home. Owner, Anton, is very pleasant over phone (no staff present, just an entry code to come and go as you please).
Don't step in vomit left by partyers in alley and under porch Noisy rooms are those that are facing backpacker hostel smoking and music area
That was my first time in this guesthouse. But i really glad that i choose it! Its very clean and nice place, which for me very important, good wifi, nice and very friendly people who helped me in everything i asked them. Its a calm place where you can have a good rest after all your adventures during the day.
Clean room and bathroom; nice building
Rude and unpleasant stuff; unbelievable poor breakfast (only corn flakes and bar of cereals). The real price was rather expensive then we booked.
check out time too early
The staff, the location
Coffee was ready when we woke up, friendly host.
Matrasses were pretty uncomfortable. shower has a button which you have to press every 10 seconds to get water. Breakfast is just milk and yoghurt i think and some cereals.
The hotel was clean and quiet.
There was a rude and horrible service man, we didn't get any respect from him. He treated a British couple well but treated us terribly. He even wanted to charge us for just hot water and the attitude of him was very rude actually.
Although excellent quality price rate for this city.
More expensive than booked on the website because they refused cash and with credit card it is more.
friendly staff small breakfast
room was 3,5x2,5 m with low roof - but you pay same price of others who have bigger room This is only one small room so maybe others are ok, but this one does not be offered or much cheaper
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and shower were good enough.
Be careful because the price you book is not the price you will have to pay! We had to pay 1500 kronen more than the booked price. Moreover, the owner will try to get your money with "stupid" things. Breakfast is only coffee and cereals.
Close to city center, parking available in front. Cheaper than most of other rooms in Reykjavik
Small room, not even towels are offered, there are just tiny ones for your hands in the shared bathroom. Room was close to the laundry room and was rather noisy. The breakfast is ridiculuos: there is just hot water with nescafé and cold milk with some cereals, nothing more. I wouldn't even call it a breakfast. The owners were not there on our arrival and when we left they were walking bare foot in the lobby which wasn't either professional or higyenic. I wouldn't stay there again
So when we first arrived, we saw that that our room wasn't the same from the fotos when we booked, however the manager was kind and said it was ok for us to switch rooms. The next one was fine. The wifi connection was good.
We didn't like the first room. It was not what we booked and althouth it was cute, it was really small (our luggage took the hole place and we couldn't walk) and had a window (no curtains what so ever) right in the ceiling above the bed. Like I said it was cute, but if you don't like to sleep with the sun in your head, it is not fine. Then, the breakfast you might just skip it, it is not worth it. And finally, the manager himself wasn't very polite when we talked about booking a car. We ultimmately preferred to book in another place (it was less expensive and the cars were better) but when we told him that, he became upset telling us that he would have matched the price. But we didn't care for that kind of arragement.
we booked to 99$ but when we got there we were charged for 112 $ !!! The guy in charge where mumbling something about currency but in had poor English (or he was pretending). Anyway don't book this one.
The location was pretty good. You could get to the main points of interest in the city just in a matter of a few minutes walking.
The room was really minuscule. The walls paper thin. The double bed was tiny and uncomfortable. The bathrooms were not that clean. The breakfast included some really old oranges long past their prime (also, cereals with milk and not much more). The towels cost 500isk each. We checked out at around 9am and yet they wanted 10 euro to leave our car parked one or two extra hours more. They said: "everywhere else in the city is paid parking". They lied, there is plenty of free parking in the city. For example, near the hotel there is a big free parking near the park located at the left of the intersection of road 49 and the road to Keflavik. Not coming back here.
Cheap guesthouse for Reykjavik center, good for one night.
No kitchen, few toilets (one each 5-6 rooms). Scarce breakfast. When I arrived, the staff had already addebt the cost of the rooms in my credit card.
