If you have to stay in this town, for whatever reason, the choice for hotels is very limited. This causes accomodations to be highly overpriced. On this trip, we stayed in a total of 14 inns, hotels etc. accross Iceland, Scotland and England. Every one of those places included breakfast except Hotel Egilsen. They charge $24 per person, outlandish except for the fact that there were few other places to eat in this town. And contrary to the reviews I have read about the "great"breakfast, it was no better than any breakfast I had on this 19 day trip.
My room was "deluxe", and Priced accordingly. It was clean, but very small and located right next to the main road. My pillow was literally 6-7 feet from traffic. My advice to travellers is "Don't get stuck in this town overnight, or you will pay dearly.
Easy to find; clean, staff was helpful if you asked direct questions
