Really cheap and convenient place. A two bedroom apartment with everything. No luxuries, but we didn't look for any. They forgot to bring the breakfest and I went to look for it by myself. |

This guesthouse was affordable, clean, and within walking distance of the main shopping street in Reykjavik. The mini-kitchen and provided breakfast is a great plus since food is extremely expensive in Iceland. The guesthouse also provided free wireless service, which was a big help as to plan day trips and keep in touch with family, etc. There was a small mistake with our reservation, but the guesthouse was able to accommodate us for an additional day. Our flight arrived early, but they were able to accommodate us. Einholt is a good option for those looking for inexpensive accommodations. This is a guesthouse, so there are no hotel like services or a reception area -- however you can always call someone in the staff for assistance. Although it was stated in the reservation that towels would be changed every two days, that never happened. The room was never cleaned while we were there, and there were not CD player or DVD player as stated in the description of the room. The room was much smaller than what was showed in the pictures and no shampoo or soap were provided. The guesthouse offers a discount if you pay in cash, but by the end of our trip we no longer had enough in cash: it would be nice if they had informed us of the discount before we went out and spent all our cash. |

the room was comfortable and good value for money There is no reception, we did not once see a member of staff during our 4 night stay. We had a tour cancel on us and hotel staff (or whoever is in charge there) failed to let us know despite being asked to inform us of the cancellation. |

A short walk into the centre along the main street for shopping and dining. Breakfast in the apartment was excellent plus free tea and coffee. Good sized and quiet rooms. |

The hotel has very clean and nice rooms. From outside it looks like a joke. It's near the main street and all tour companies do their pick-ups at the door. If you pay with cash (EUR) then you will get 10% discount. |

Value for money. A big apartment at a hotel with a good location. Yes, it is a good hotel for people that can take care of themselves. Ok with us. People that are in need of a high degree of service shouldn´t choose this hotel. |

In fact we were allocated a room at the Brauholt apartments next door to the Einholt apartments . The apartment was spacious and warm, clean and well equipped with simple kitchen utensils. The towels were refreshed mid stay and the breakfast items were replenished every second day. Staff were helpful and friendly. An internet connection was available in request from reception. The location of the apartments were central to the old city area with many sight seeing opportunities within walking distance. The room wasn't ready for us on arrival however the staff immediately cleaned and prepared it for us within an hour. |

Apartments were basic small and cozy...stayed down on the basment floor the dungeon if you like...but this caused no problems for me or my mother actually maybe its a little more quite down there. The breakfast waiting in the fridge is simple but brilliant no time schedule needed. all the staff were very friendly you will only see them in the morning but some one is always available via free lobby phone... need to take city map etc from airport as lobby is a little sparse on travel guides etc...had my laptop and there free wi-fi easy to find info..Very easy parking (hired 4x4) and just as easy to refind apartment after a days travelling Was a little worried as they Forgot to restock the fridge supplys but one call from the 24hr lobby phone and we had new supplys straight away...excellent service |

The staff were good with communication before I arrived, and were accommodating when we made any requests. Really a great value from what we heard (cheaper, nicer than any we talked to). The staff were great and even gave us a two for one coupon for Blue Lagoon! Not the closest to the city (10min walk), so if transport / walking is an issue might not be the best option. But this was fine for us - not far at all. |

Location is quite fine , nothing fancy but in walking distance from the city centre. Its worth the value. Watertap in the kitchen was loose, but its a minor thing, it still worked anyway. |

In room breakfast and convenience Yes. There was no soap for the shower. And they need a better place to store bags when rooms are not available for check in times |

The staff was very helpful and provided important information. The location is central all is within walking distance. All the essentials are at hand in your room and breakfast was more than enough. More complete cleaning would be good at least every 2 days. Most of the time the staff was not around much. |

The guesthouse has 2 floors - the apartments at the first and main floor (starts with no. 2..) are very good, clean, comfortable and has enough space. Very recommended. Its located very close to the main street - only a few minutes walk. The breakfast is good and waiting for you at the refrigerator so you can eat it whenever you want which is great. The apartments at the lower floor (starts with no. 1..) are clean but very very tiny, you can't walk without hurting yourself. I couldn't stay there so I asked to move to the first floor. |

When we were there, the Einholt Guesthouse was still a work in progress with several of the rooms needing some final touches completed. Some of the apartments are a little small, but adequate. The beds are comfortable. The staff are helpful, but not always available on-site. The breakfast provisions are generous and good quality. With the addition of fruit and cookies from the market, it was plenty for breakfast and lunch. This is an affordable, convenient, well-run base from which to explore Reykjavik. |

we had an upgrade to the top floor family apartment, which was fantastic. The dual aspect views were great and so much light in the apartment (felt like a penthouse suite!).We even had a view of the famous reykjavik church from the back balcony!Great kitchen facilities. Modern ikea style furnishings.Breakfast included also.Bargain. 20 mins maximum flat walk along the lovely shopping street to very centre of the city...stroll really not a problem for us, but maybe for those with less mobility?for us it was perfect and in a nice and quiet residential area to get a good nights sleep when the 'runtur' is on on the weekend!some of the hotels in town get complaints from guests about the noise! |

The best part was the helpfulness of the staff in suggesting restaurants, making tour reservations, giving directions to points of interest, etc. It was also very nice to have the food basics in the refrigerator. Very comfortable beds. Several things needed attention--it's almost like the place wasn't quite ready for guests. For example, the light in the kitchen area did not work, the bathroom sink was plugged, a bedside lamp did not work, the kitchen did not have clean towels, etc. |
