Located 15 minutes’ drive from Gullfoss Waterfall, this property is 9 km from the town of Reykholt. It offers cottages each with a private hot tub, a patio and BBQ. A TV with DVD/CD player is provided in each living room at Eyjasol Cottages, as well as a kitchen with a cooker, microwave and tea/coffee facilities. All 2-bedroom cottages have a bathroom with shower. The children’s playground features a trampoline, slide and swing set. Free private parking is available at Eyjasol. Thingvellir National Park is 30 minutes’ drive away, while central Reykjavik is within an hours’ drive of the cottages. Area activities include hiking and salmon fishing. No o0ne was there to greet us , .we found someone in another cottage who was on the phone and gave us the number to the lock box. The sliding glass door did not have any kind of latch or lock ,so we couldnt even lock our belongings up. The house was wide open ,it was 98 degrees the whole time ..we had to leave the windows open .then at night bugs came in because there was windows without screens . My credit card was charged for the stay on the 7th ofAug ...we didnt even leave for Iceland till the 12.Desperate need of a maintenence man.BBQ Was falling apart .No sheets no towls ......... The area was close to the geysirs and gulfoss.View was nice .

Tolle Lage in der Nähe von Geysir (ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt) und Gullfoss (ca. 15 Autominuten), völlig ruhig oberhalb eines Flusses gelegen. Jede Hütte hat einen eigenen Hotpot und ist gut ausgestattet. Bettwäsche und Handtücher konnten für 15,-- Euro extra p.P. dazugemietet werden. Die Endreinigung war im Preis endhalten, wenn man das Haus besenrein verließ. Für alle Hütten gemeinsamer Spielplatz m. Trampolin, Rutsche, Schaukel, Badminton-Netz m. Schlägern und Bällen... Der Besitzer bietet auch vergleichsweise günstig ein Allradfahrzeug ab Reykjavik zur Miete an (haben wir leider zu spät erfahren!) und Rundflüge mit seinem eigenen Kleinflugzeug (Flug über Vulkane und Gletscher war sensationell!).... Kein persönlicher Empfang, Schlüssel war in Kasten mit Zahlenschlosskombination, die uns der Besitzer vorher mitgeteilt hatte, keine Anleitungen f.d. Hütte auf Englisch (wie funktioniert der Hot Pot, wo entsorge ich den Müll (wir haben ihn dann einfach in einem großen Sack i.d. Abstellkammer gesammelt und bei Abreise dort gelassen) etc. Sind aber mit allem trotzdem klar gekommen.

Tranquilidad absoluta, Jacuzzi, columpios para los niños y buen centro de operaciones para visitar el sur de Islandia. Muy recomendable. No vimos a nadie, ni al llegar, ni al salir. Nadie nos recibio y tuvimos que llamar por telefono. Al irnos, tuvimos que llamar por telefono para pagar. Un poco raro...

Very nice cottage with hot pool, nice interior, everything there what you need in the kitchen, great absolutely quiet location providing much space some booking confirmation problems

Les cottages se trouvent tout près des sites les plus visités en Islande: le Cercle d'Or de Gullfoss, Geysir/Stokkur et Tingvillir. Le cottage est comme chez quelqu'un, accueillant et bien équipé. En plus, il y a un Spa chauffé sur la terrasse dehors.
