Location close to Keflavik Airport
After being greeted by rude staff, I walked to my room which I found in disrepair... bedding thrown on the floor, opened instant coffee packets on the table... clearly the room hadn't been cleaned. I shrugged it off because it was late and I wanted to sleep. The next morning, i got up from my cheap single bed and was again surprised at the cold reception when I asked for a receipt. Overall... disappointing and not worth the money.
Proximity to airport. Helpful staff
Comfortable place close to airport with good food and a helpful staff. The village has a number of food options and good place to rest before long flights.
Clean room and helpfull staff.
Not possible to use VPN on the WIFI.
plastic bathroom windows not closing well, cold air was coming in, so we had to "isolete" with pillows/blankets
Clean and good restaurant.
I had a south facing room that had warmed up on a sunny day. My alarm clock thermometer told me it was 27 degsC when I entered. In the absence of air conditioning, even with the window fully open all night it never dropped below 25 degC. The lights were dimmed and there was no mechanism to brighten them.
The room was large and comfortable, but we were only there for one night, arriving very late and leaving very early. Transfer to airport, and 5am wake up call worked well.
There was no bin anywhere in the room!
Prompt and frequent shuttle to airport
Pretty soul-less, and we saw some confusion at Reception (the group of three booking-in before us soon came back down, to report that there was a naked man asleep in their room).
The room was comfortable and well equipped. The restaurant served excellent meals at (by Icelandic standards) an acceptable price. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful.
I regretted the absence of a shuttle to/from the airport. Staff had formed the impression (from long exposure to Icelandic prices) that taxis were good value. The town of Keflavik is a bit bleak, but in a short 24-hour stay I got to like it (and particularly the Keflavikers, if that's the word), so this is in the wrong box!
We took the dinner where are many trashes on the floor in hotel's restaurant. Foods tastes was no good. We could'nt eat all. Especially bread was unbelievable! It was dried and too hard!!!
Close to airport. Free shuttle to airport.
Expensive, staff kind of rude, other travelers in bar were antagonistic for no reason (bar should have cut them off probably). Bathroom was out of TP.
The room was very large with a sitting area. Very quiet room. Good breakfast buffet with a great selection. Close to Blue Lagoon and the airport.
Easy taxi from airport Next to mini mart for easy snack purchases
New wing not finished yet. Our room was uncomfortably hot despite turning heat off. Could not keep window open because of sounds of water pouring off roof onto glass awning and loud motorists driving by. It took me about 3 hours to fall asleep after finally taking a cold shower. "Hot sleepers" beware!
Poor breakfast. Room v basic. No chair at desk. Waited at reception to check in for 10mins before a member of staff could be found to do it.
Most was OK - clean proff etc
The price is not reasonable - maybe 1200 would be ok.
Hotel management was very proffesional. The location is very good for travellers to stay after the long flight and the nearest variant to visit famous Blue lagoon.
There was everuday repairing very early in the morning and we can't sleep! Сleaning of the room consisted only in change of towels and in garbage emission. The floor and bathroom remained not cleaned.
Location fine in center of Keflavik. Better than the b&b at the airport - that was awful location
Room way to expensive. Receptionist was unfriendly and the lady Manager was awful. Room was old and outdated. Bathroom something you find in ships and not to be found in any 4 star hotel. Breakfast was ok but nothing more than just ok. Shuttle service available but very expensive!!
Bathroom was lovely
Staff could use hotel training in many areas. Hotel was still under construction and should have offered something for the inconvience
price and having to change into two buildings to get to your room!
close to the airport is really the only good thing
ridiculously high price - 195 EUR for one night!
The bed was comfortable, but very small.
For almost $300 Canadian, this room was very poor. It was old and run down. The counters were coffee stained, the shower head was mouldy, and there were holes the bathroom walls from where they 'd moved fixtures. They wouldn't pick me up from Keflavik airport, do I had to take my own cab. And the shuttle to the airport in the morning was an unpkeasant smelly cab. No breakfast was included.
Location to airport. Had flight out next morning. Free taxi ride to airport in the morning
For the price breakfast was not included, no free WiFi in room and no shuttle from airport to hotel.
Excellent dinner in restaurant
The bathroom was an all in one plastic module, like on a ship. TVs need upgrading. Had a very bleak dealing compared with other Icelandic hotels we stayed in
The staff were professional.
Location was too far away from the city proper.
