Cozy hotel, lovely staff.

Clean and comfortable room. Sauna and outdoor hot tub was an added bonus which we found very relaxing. Best breakfast we've out of five hotel/guesthouses we'd stayed at. The freshly made pancakes were a nice addition.

Overall really good, though the hot tub was more like a hot bath rather than a jacuzzi- we either couldn't get it to work or this function wasn't working? Still really relaxing though :)

Good location as a base for exploring Snaefellsnes. Rooms are functional but clean with plenty of space.

I had booked for the wrong night and the receptionists quickly and politely informed me of this and quickly rearranged my booking with no penalties.

Slightly small rooms.THe restaurant was closed- but it was quiet and they didnt know we were coming!

Very clean accommodation and comfortable beds, the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant served excellent food, which is good as Grundarfjordur has limited choices of places to eat. This was our second stay and we would be more than happy to return for a third visit.

The celeriac soup The staff were very knowledgeable about the whale watching. Sorted out blown light bulb quickly. Hot tub.

Rest of the food didn't live up the standards we had read about in other reviews & a guide book. The shower cubicle in our room was free standing & felt like it would collapse at any time! "Industrial estate" setting.

The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the Snaefellsness peninsular. Staff were very helpful and even knocked on our room door to let us know that the Aurora was making an appearance!

My friend and I had a twin room that was comfortable but rather cramped

The friendliness of all the staff at the hotel, they made us feel part of a large family. Nothing was too much trouble from tea and coffee always available to offering wake up calls in the night if the "lights" appeared. The meals were excellent and good value for money

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

Fantastic views from the upstairs bedrooms. Dinner menus were good.

I am glad I am fit, as the stairs were steep.

Fantastic food, welcoming helpful and friendly staff, brilliant atmosphere, awesome views, isolated and ofcourse the orcas on the doorstep was absolutely amazing!

I did like the staff off the hotel, they where very kind and helpful! I went to Grundarfjordur to see the killer whale and I did so that was great!!

I didn't like that there was not so many thinks to do in Grundarfjordur that's way I don't recommend travellers to go there. But would you see the killer whale then I will recommend Grundarfjordur and then I recommend the hotel Framnes as well.

Person who checked us in was so pro-actively helpful telling me where to see the Orcas.

Friendly helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble, the owner said he liked guests to feel it was their home and he suceeded. Lovely location by Fjord, the sea view rooms overlook water and the fishing docks.

Room is simple but adequate with a very functional bathroom. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff was friendly. If staying in this area, I would recommend it.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and spoke English. The dining room was nice with very good food. The menu with Icelandic meals as well as International style food covered all tastes.

This is our second stay and we would come again. We like the location, the comfort of the room and the restaurant is very good too. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
