Hotel Frón  

No problems helpful and efficient staff. Got what we paid for

There is a night club close by/adjacent and we did get the base b eat from midnight until the club closed which did disturb sleep

We arrived at 7am and were able to check into our room The location is great. Buffet was good. We stayed in a studio apartment and found the room to be very spacious. It also included a kitchen, not that we used it as we only stayed for three nights but this would be useful for a longer stay.

It is a good hotel. I would recomend it

I enjoyed Hotel Fron's location on Laugavegur, although there is a downside to this location on the weekends. I also enjoyed having a kitchen and being able to cook meals.

As noted above the downside to the location, on the weekends the bars in Iceland are open until 4:30am and our room was located on the street, so we were up until 4:30am when the bars shut down because of the amount of noise.

Staff couldn't do enough to help, for instance when I had problems with an excursion booking they sorted everything for me. Breakfast was minimal (would have liked eggs, for instance) but satisfactory. The studio apartment was really good value and location superb.

Location was perfect, everything was with in walking distance.

The location was perfect, right on the main shopping street, with plenty of great shops and restaurants to choose from. It was an easy walk to the Harbor to see the Viking ship sculpture and an easy walk to beautiful Hallgrimskirkja church and the Einar Jónsson Museum and Sculpture Garden right across the street from the church. All the people we met who worked at Hótel Frón were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed meeting them. I can't say enough about the wonderful people. I would definitely go back to the Hótel Frón if I get the chance to visit Reykjavik again.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Très bonne surprise à notre arrivée puisque l'on nous a surclassé ! On nous a dirigé vers un petit appartement au 4e étage composé d'une chambre, un salon avec canapé, télé et petite kitchenette puis une petite salle de bain. Très propre et confortable. La situation est convenable, dans une des principales rues commerçantes de la ville et à moins de 10 minutes à pied de l'hyper-centre et du port.

Que des bonnes surprises... Rien à reprocher à l'hôtel (cependant, une seule nuit de passée). Je n'ai par contre rien trouvé d'extraordinaire à la ville...

Storleken o läget i förhållande till priset. Mycket prisvärt.

Går nog att göra frukostbuffén ännnu bättre.......

Frábær staðsetning og frábært herbergi. Og ekki síst mjög gott verð:)

Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Laugarvegur, der Haupt-Einkaufsstraße Reykjaviks, und unweit der Hallgrimskirkja ist hervorragend. Mag sein, das es durch die Lage an der lebhaften Straße im Sommer und in den unteren Stockwerken etwas lauter ist. Wir waren über Silvester dort und im 4. Stock untergebracht, und dort war es ruhig.

Das Zimmer war recht klein. WLAN gab es kostenlos, aber es funktionierte nur extrem langsam, und die Verbindung riss immer wieder ab. Es war also praktisch nicht zu gebrauchen. Das Frühstück war okay (Müsli, Cornflakes, Joghurt, Toast, Brot, 3 Sorten Wurstaufschnitt, 2 Sorten Käse, Marmelade, Bananen, Mandarinen). Etwas Abwechselung, vielleicht auch mal Kuchen oder Eier) wäre aber schön gewesen.
