Very good location We did not like the noise at night. There was a rock band playing outside very near the hotel. The first night they stopped at midnight, the next night they played until 5 o'clock in the morning. It was loud with base loudspeakers and it disturbed our sleep. I meantioned it to the people on the desk. They said that the clubs can play until 5 in the morning. Well, this is the only complaint. I would recommed the hotel to my friends but with the above information, because the hotel is good located and the service was good.

Excellent is the only word and this is the best hotel to happen in iceland and I must be very luckly and fortunate that I stayed in room nuber 403 which is a new block and all the action can be seen from balcony. Its fantastic nothing more can be asked, very good staff .I have been travelling from long but this is the best so far that I stayed. What ever I write is still less so to put in one word the best hotel Every thing is excellent

The location was perfect, right on the main shopping street, with plenty of great shops and restaurants to choose from. It was an easy walk to the Harbor to see the Viking ship sculpture and an easy walk to beautiful Hallgrimskirkja church and the Einar Jónsson Museum and Sculpture Garden right across the street from the church. All the people we met who worked at Hótel Frón were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed meeting them. I can't say enough about the wonderful people. I would definitely go back to the Hótel Frón if I get the chance to visit Reykjavik again. There was nothing I didn't like.

The hotel's simplicity in the way it is run proved to work in their favour - thus enabling us to enjoy and very hassle-free stay. The staff are very polite and efficient in responding quickly to minor requests that we had - and a simple call from the reception to make sure everything is fine was a great gesture. Our studio apartment was very spacious, clean and even though the breakfast variety was adequate - what was available was more than satisfying. Overall we had a very good experience from day one and in fact for the whole duration of our stay - with a great location at the heart of the city centre. Keep up the good service! If I was to be really particular - personally the only thing I'd mention is the odd initial smell coming from the bathroom taps/shower did take some getting used to.

Location was amazing. Right in the middle of Reykjavik's main street, plenty of shops and resturants. All the tour companies pick you up from the hotel. Service was good. The room was big enough for a weekend stay and quite comfortable.

It was pleasant en fine to stay at. The personel was very kind. The rooms were clean. In the restaurant they could offer more european meals, not only mexican or 2 types of hamburgers, there for we had to move to other restaurants.

I loved this hotel. There are many to choose from in reykjavik, but this one is in prime location - right on the main shopping street. We stayed in an apartment which was awesome and included breakfast. Staff couldnt be more helpful and organised all our trips for us. If I am ever back in iceland, I will definitely stay at this hotel. Couldnt get the wifi to work on my phone, but I came to iceland to get away from it all, so that is probably a good thing!

I enjoyed Hotel Fron's location on Laugavegur, although there is a downside to this location on the weekends. I also enjoyed having a kitchen and being able to cook meals. As noted above the downside to the location, on the weekends the bars in Iceland are open until 4:30am and our room was located on the street, so we were up until 4:30am when the bars shut down because of the amount of noise.

Excellent location - just main Reyljavik shopping street. The staff was hospitable and kindly support in any question starting of general information ending ordering of excursions; taxi service and aiport express confirmation. The room was rather acketic but clean and utilitarian.

Staff couldn't do enough to help, for instance when I had problems with an excursion booking they sorted everything for me. Breakfast was minimal (would have liked eggs, for instance) but satisfactory. The studio apartment was really good value and location superb.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well designed. It was great that it included a continental breakfast too. The best part of the hotel was the excellent location. While efficient, I felt that the front desk staff could have been a bit more friendly.
