Excellent location!Friendly staff!
Fantastic staff on reception who helped us massively with help locating a lost bag to booking trips/taxis to advising us on what/where to go.we stayed in a studio apartment which was great (but could do with a kettle but only a minor fault so all good really!!)and was really comfortable and warm.located on the main street and around all facilities it was great.
Helpful staff, pleasant restaurant and accommodation that was fit for our purpose and very central to the city.
Building work on the apartment block but not too disruptive. TV very poor and some fixtures showing their age
Great location, really central
Warm, comfy bed, centrally located, good continental breakfast, tour buses all pick up at hotel. Good value.
Staff not particularly sociable, Central location means a bit of weekend late night noise.
We had a lovely couple of nights at the Hotel Fron (2/3rd Dec 2014) whilst on our stopover in Iceland on our way to the USA. The hotel is right on the main street, brilliantly located for all the main sites and the tours, and the hotel itself is comfortable and clean. We were upgraded to a small apartment with a kitchen which was compact and functional. The breakfast set us up well for our days ahead and had a wide choice of meats, cheese, fruit, bread and cereal. Really impressed, would highly recommend.
Wifi was a bit patchy here and there.
wifi signal not so good, public parking which you have to pay for during the day
Will stay at the hotel again.
Poor breakfast, room can be noisy, depending on its location
Our room was in court yard, so it was peaceful, no noice from the street etc. The location is just on the main street, easy to get anywhere. The breakfast is exellent.
Location, price, breakfast, staff, room, atmosphere, nice crowd, manager, too much to list, just perfect!
Great location, great friendly staff, great value for money. Would 100% stay here again!
Location and breakfast are excellent
Wifi signal is not good in many location
Location, location, location. Spacious, warm rooms with everything you need.
Lack of a hot breakfast. The choice was adequate rather than good. Wi-fi was temperamental.
Staff assisted when our flight was cancelled, although could not put us up for the extra nights. Great location & lots of information on trips which are easily arranged at hotel.
Was a little noisy at night due to local bars on the front but this was no problem for 3 girls who enjoy a night out & are worn out.
central location (in down-town) room size breakfast (basic, but good)
internet speed was bit slow
Good location, good breakfast.
Very thin walls. Staff could be nicer.
Location was right where you want to be in reykjavik. The hotel is in the middle of the main shopping street, with plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shops around it and even a handy supermarket. Breakfast included set you up great for the day!
Breakfast is 06:30 to 09:30 which is fine when you are off touring Iceland, but when you might have enjoyed the nightlife or if you just fancy a lie in then 10:00am might be better. But maybe I'm just lazy!!
size of apartment location on-site restaurant
The room was a good size with cooking facilities. It was quiet towards the back of the hotel. Very clean, with comfy bed. Breakfast was continental and lots of it. Great location in the high street, bars and restaurants were close by. The staff were really helpful.
Nothing it was a great hotel.
I spent one night at the Fron hotel before heading home. The hotel was reasonable nice, my room was very roomy and had good facilities including a kitchen area. As I only stayed one night I didn't get much of a feel but it seemed OK.
Wasn't sure about the reception although not unpleasant sometimes they seemed a bit cold. Breakfast was good but not the best compared to other places but over all OK. The breakfast area seemed a bit crowded. My impression was this hotel may be suited a bit more toward a more mature crowd.
Location was excellent.
The staff was not friendly. Not all of the lights in our room were working and the bathroom was not well cleaned. Be prepared for the hot water to smell like rotten eggs in this one.
Location is superb on the main street and walking distance to all main attraction and tour pick up points.
Threshold to the balcony is a safety hazard. Toilet paper and towels are of the cheapest possible variety. Shower enclosure looked like it came from Nelson Mandela House not fitting of a "deluxe" apartment.
Lovely room with good kitchen. Very good breakfast. Right on the main street.
No free parking close to the hotel. Wifi only works in the reception area.
My family and myself enjoyed our whole Icelandic experience immensely. Hotel Fron was the perfect location clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Wouldn't change a thing about it :-D
