You wont find a more friendly and helpful host. Very relaxed atmosphere with great facilities. Chilled in the lounge and enjoyed free coffee and cake all day whilst weather raged outside. Great breakfast. Be prepared to to ingest pancakes - never ending supply! We loved our First stay here and our Second stay even more. Home from home. Great scenery all around and close to Vik.
Beautiful bed and breakfast in a secluded location near vik, the host was very friendly and made us a delicious breakfast despite the stormy weather causing power outages. A perfect stay! Pancakes were delicious.
We arrived and we were advised by the owners that we should probably not stay with them but should drive to Selfoss to avoid the coming storm which would likely close the highway for 1-2 days and cause us to miss our flight. We have never experienced such care and compassion by a guest house owner who truly wanted us to be safe even it that meant she did without the income from our stay. They had no problem cancelling our reservation and helping us pick a place to stay that would be beyond the area that would likely be impacted by the storm. GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Everything. Incredibly friendly hosts, great breakfast!
The accommodation giving me ideas for my own home. Owner and staff very friendly. Not rushed.
a bit of noise from heat pump in one of bedroom
Julija made us very welcome, was very easy to talk to and made a great breakfast. The accommodation was first class and with English TV (all channels) it felt like home.
The location will suit some being quite remote & 10 km from the nearest small village, but for us it did limit evening options.
Lovely guesthouse, friendly staff and a great breakfast
Perhaps a little expensive against other accommodation we had on the trip
A simply delightful place; charming, clean and comfortable with a delicious and filling breakfast to get us on our way. Our hostess was totally accommodating and flexible as we needed to change our plans because of bad weather. She even helped us get the latest information about weather and road conditions. The breakfast area is a wonderful space for conversation and relaxation with other guests. We traveled with our daughter and her husband--had one room with private bath and one room with shared bath. We were all very satisfied. The property is about 10km east of Vik and is near to the black sand beaches.
We were welcomed with a homemade cake. rooms and house was really comfy and clean. even got a wake up knock to see the northern lights.
Great location, bed, superb breakfast, gregarious host and hostess. Interesting guests. We would definitely recommend staying here.
very cold weather!!
The owners were so welcoming and just an adorable family. The house is located right by the black sand beach and about 10 minutes from vik. The house itself is decorated so well with wood paneling and a lovely kitchen and sitting area. We had a room with a shared bathroom, this was my first time doing this and it wasn't awful but I wouldn't do that again. I would def recommend getting the rooms without the shared bathroom but it may just be me bc I was always stressed about it.
The sattelite was down so the tv wasn't working but who needs a tv really. But the house transmits a lot of sound so it's ok but if you end up being there when loud guests are there you may have a hard time sleeping. For us we had a wonderful group but even the doors when they close echo with a lot of noise.
Very friendly staff who were keen to answer questions about living in Iceland. Amazing breakfast with lots of freshly baked rolls and pancakes. Beautiful area and probably excellent for Northern Lights if the sky was clear as out of town.
* Phenomenal breakfast, including smoked lamb from the farm's stock. * Extremely nice hostess. * Comfy rooms
* Nothing. My wife and I had a great time.
We have enjoyed everything: good location for visiting the south coast, excellent breakfast, warm welcome and very attentive people.
Lovely, clean and well presented room, excellent staff and fabulous breakfast! Great value for money, we would defintely stay here again.
Wow. From the welcome we received from Eva, to the breakfast she laid on, what an amazing place to stop.
I can't think of anything to say… the weather? It was a filthy evening when we arrived!
The guesthouse was absolutely charming and gorgeous, with thoughtful details and very clean. The woman who cooked us breakfast, Eva, made the most spectacular breakfast spread from scratch. Our bathroom was enormous and well lit. It was wonderful!
Our room was just off of the communal kitchen, so when people are using it, it could feel like there is lack of privacy. It is about a 10 minute drive into Vik, which probably only seems far when there are hurricane strength winds (like we experienced late Oct.).
Home-made breakfast was the best food we ever had in Iceland, everything was fresh and really delicious. The cottage itself was super clean and comfortable, with everything decorated nicely, it just felt really homely. Really great hostess and their dog Tina was adorable. This is a really excellent accommodation, completely recommend!
This Guesthouse was the best we stayed in during our week’s holiday in Iceland. We received a warm welcome with tea and cakes on arrival. The Guesthouse is very clean, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and it has free parking….. I will recommend it to family and friends.
The inn was warm and inviting. Eva is a wonderful host. You will leave feeling more like a local than a tourist. The breakfast was outstanding. And the views at the end of the road are among the most amazing in the world.
Fancy looking and homemade breakfast
The room door and washroom door locks with a traditional metal stick key which was tedious to lock and unlock.
The cottage is like a small Iceland home from home. We loved it. The room and the public areas were just lovely. We used the kitchen in the evening to make ourselves some dinner. In the morning Eva cooked us a fantastic breakfast including homemade bread and pancakes. She even made me some gluten free pancakes which were delicious and very much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Iceland.
everything, i like the room, the sitting room and the breakfast made by Julia
