Flat had everything included for our stay. We were able to cook meals as well as go to restaurants. Breakfast was lovely in the main house, where we were meant to feel very welcome and taken care of. Thank you.
Clean, cosy, very warm after a day out in the cold. The wifi was superb, the shower powerful and the bed comfortable. The staff were fantastic and very helpful but left us to our own devices. I would stay here again on my second trip to Iceland.
Great place eveything new. super helfull owner
The room was finished. The kitchenet and the mirrow on the bathroom were missing. I'd assume that this will be ready soon.
Helpful staff. Very warm and cosy. Close to the city centre.
The location is perfect.
Really enjoyed our stay, owners are very friendly and felt right at home.. Accommodation is good, very comfortable beds, plenty of heating.. What else could you ask for. Supermarket is a few blocks away and the main shopping street is a 5min walk.
Good location, friendly hosts, nice apartments.
Perfect location in affluent part of Reykjavik. We're welcomed by owner on arrival and quickly settled in to our apartment.
Apartment is cosy but don't expect hotel luxury. This is a friendly family run guesthouse.
Great place, fantastic hostess
Great location. Our apartment was a converted garage and was very warm and comfortable. Loved the sulphur showers. The owner was so lovely and v helpful.
Staff very helpful and communal breakfast enjoyable
It's under construction!!!! Room was unfinished, but full price charged. Could hear drilling and banging throughout the day. Parking is in fact 'on street' so nothing special.
i loved the house itself and the staff - very helpful! and the location is just perfect. very very clean and comfortable!
Gaultafell was a wonderful place to stay in Reykjavik. The location could not have been better, the room was new, comfortable and very clean. The house itself is an artistic treasure and historical home. The owners and their family could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. I would highly recommend Gaultafell as a great place to stay.
Everything is good
Location, friendly hostess, ease of a basic one bed apartment when travelling with kids
Noise from building works for which the owner was profusely apologetic. It is heritage building and the owner is trying to spruce it up, so that is understandable.
It was comfy and staff friendly and very helpful
They were having building work done whilst I was there going on till 10:30 pm and one night where doing work all night, totally unacceptable had to speak to the owner twice, with this amount of disruption the guest house should have been closed to business, having said that, once the works are complete I would recommend using the facility, I think my timing was just unlucky , I feel a partial refund of my bill would have been the appropriate action in my case but this was not offered.
Great location - 10 minutes walk to harbour and 5mintes to BSI terminal. Quiet residential area
Good facilities but poor wifi
I were shown to a big apartment they had downstairs which was wonderfully big and clean. It felt like home and the guesthouse is only a little walk away from the shopping street.
Thorey was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We could not have asked for a better experience!
Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
The stove in the kitchen was very old. It couldn't even just boil a pot of water.
Location and excellent wifi
one bed had a bit of a dip but was ok
Well appointed apartment, modern and fully equipped complete with sandwich maker and coffee machine. Well laid out, plenty of towels, toilet paper etc
I am Wi-Fi sensitive and although it was possible to switch off the Wi-Fi at night, there were other strong signals coming through the walls. Also the painting of the naked man on the wall next to the bed was rather scary! I draped a towel over him the whole time we were there
The owner was very friendly as was her cat. Great location only a short walk from city centre shops and bars. Breakfast was what you'd expect for a continental breakfast, different meats and cheese and plenty of toast and spreads. We had a room with en suite bath, there was also a shared shower and kitchen area for guests who were self catering, although we didn't use the kitchen as we ate out. The bed was comfortable, we would have liked an extra pillow, but to be honest we didn't ask for one, everything else was spot on and we didnt want to complain. Room was cosy and warm. Really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again :)
Thory and her husband are very warm and help. And the nice, artsy house!
this place was clean and comfortable and in a very nice location
