They paid for our cab to the airport. Excellent service! Breakfast starts at 5, great for early flights. Good hotel for one night, not for a week! The comfort of the bed is really poor. Also the exteriour of the hotel was outdated.

The breakfast was great and the fact that there is a kitchen available to travelers who want to eat in and save some money. The beds are uncomfortable, but the shared bathrooms were nice and clean.

I have to say that for some reason the check in is on the hotel Keflavik and when I was to check in I was told that I would be staying at the Hotel (4 stars) which pleased me a lot and this comments are based on that :-) Very good price for such a hotel :-)

The included breakfast is fairly good by Icelandic standards. Unclean and odorous rooms, which are barely maintained to the minimum standard, as well as unfriendly and dismissive staff. Importantly, the wireless internet claimed by the Hotel Keflavik and Guesthouse (located across the street) has a very weak signal, and they have router issues, making internet access impossible. If you consider internet access essential during your trip -- do not stay here.

The closeness to the airport and the water. The restaurant, excellent gym, free internet access. All the staff smiled and made me feel welcome. The price was more then I would usually like to pay, since I am on a budget. But it was still very good.

This is a useful stop going to or from the international airport. The kitchen is useful if you want to cook, and a very nice breakfast (in the main hotel) is included. The facilities were clean. Coming from the usa, we didn't know what to expect from a "guesthouse." The double room we stayed in was tiny, with barely enough room for two small single beds. This made organizing our luggage somewhat awkward. Sheets and towels were provided, but bathrooms, showers, and kitchen were in a common area. One toilet plus one shower/toilet was shared by about 10 rooms, although we never had to wait to get in. None of this is necessarily a problem, as long as you are aware when you book a room. Considering the high cost of everything in Iceland, this was a good value.

Lovely hotel, nice entrance, quick check in, nice bedrooms, beautiful bathroom, The only thing I found was that the bedroom was too hot and therefore sleep was difficult (although I guess being too cold would've been much worse!)

They accomodated 3 adults in one room at a very reasonable rate and the breakfast offered good variety and tasted great. Walls were alittle thin but all was quiet by around 10pm.

The staff at the adjacent hotel were polite and helpful. I chose the guesthouse because it stated on Booking, com that it provided both complimentary transportation to and from the airport and free wifi. It turns out it provided neither. You had to pay a taxi $25 one way (fcomplimentary shuttle was only allowed for hotel guests.) Wifi was only for local and I could not access any websites. There were no towels provided in the room so I had to use clothes to dry myself! The guesthouse claimed to have a sauna but that also was in the hotel and just for hotel guests. The rooms were very basic.

Our first night there was fabulous! We arrived at midnight and the reception changed our room from the guesthouse to the main hotel to a deluxe room. The breakfast was delightful with many delicious choices. The price was $108. through booking for a quadruple room in the guesthouse originally so the upgrade to deluxe double was a treat for us. Our last night we tried to come back and book directly and they said we could pay $400. for the guesthouse accomm. Or $300. for the hotel room. Way too expensive for us and the receptionist was not helpful recommending a more affordable place for us to stay. We stayed at family run Hotel Alex very close to the airport- it looks like a car dealership on the outside but it looks like a very clean and well run guesthouse inside with good prices and breakfast included.

The breakfast was amazing. Read the other reviews for this place and you'll see. The breakfast alone is worth the nightly rate. Seriously. The location isn't great -- there's not much but the international airport in Keflavik. If you don't have a car, it's probably not worth it to stay here.

We loved our stay. We had originally booked a room for 5 at the adjoining guest house, but were given a room in the hotel at check-in. The room was spacious and comfortable with wonderful beds. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with many different choices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is a short driving distance from the International airport in Keflavik - not Reykjavik, so you have to drive for about 30 to 40 minutes towards Reykjavik for most excursions. Keflavik itself is small, but has restaurants and a walkway along the harbor and seaside. For us, this was not really negative, but for people who like to be in a bigger city it might be.
