If there was a way I could give less than one-star service to your place
- I would. Simply appalling service by your reception staff. We booked
for one night on 17 June 2015 at alex motel guesthouse via booking.com.
Before booking, we read all of the terms and conditions and it said
clearly free shuttle service to and fro airport. And THAT's why we
booked because we had to get to leave for the airport at 3.30am on the
next day, 18 June 2015. On the actual day of check-in, we were shown a
sign on the Reception Counter that specified the times that free shuttle
would be available. According to this sign, there is no shuttle service
at 3.30am. So we waited for the reception staff that was supposed to
start his shift from 11.00pm onwards on 17 June 2015 to confirm whether
he could bring us to the Airport the next day at 3.30am. This person
made no eye contact. He looked at his computer when I tried to explain
why we had booked at his guesthouse, he acted as though we were the ones
at fault. He agreed to bring us to the airport as though he was doing us
some kind of favor. I also asked him if it was okay to get a cup noodle
for breakfast (since we were skipping breakfast) and we were, after all
paying a tonne of money - 95 euros for a few hours sleep. Again, no eye
contact and acted as if I committed some crime by asking him that.
Simply said no, if I wanted a cup noodle - I should pay for it. This
reception staff that came in to work at 11.00pm for his shift on 17 June
2015, did not bother to listen when I tried to explain to him that their
website did not specify shuttle service times, also told him I've
got an email from their customer service confirming the shuttle services
to and fro airport to me. Did not have an ounce of sympathy really, and
was not bothered at all to help the slightest bit. This has been the
most expensive and ill-deserved 95 euros stay at your place.
I want to say location, but the negatives outweigh the location so much
- I cannot bring myself to like anything about this place!!
