The wifi signal didn't reach my room so that was a disappointment. The curtains are very thin and especially in summer time this means an early wake up.
Very friendly welcoming staff, they gave me a room with a private bathroom although I booked a room with a shared one. Spacious room, in a good location. Good value for money.

Very friendly owner. Nice rooms with own bathrooms. Great for horse riding and for watching the northern lights. Very nice breakfast.

A charming and beautiful guesthouse, very comfortable and tidy, and yet with the genuine character of a true Icelandic farm. Our hosts, Kari and her husband, made us feel extremely welcome, kindly showed us their farm, including their beautiful horses, and gave us valuable suggestions on where to go and what to do for our trip (they even helped us getting back our phone which we forgot there when we left!). The best place where we stayed during our Icelandic road trip - we only wish we had more time to spend there! A must for anyone planning to spend a night or more in the area!

sadly our little car could not get up the hill - it is very far off the main road but we wanted this to try and maximise chances of seeing the northern lights, however we had to park at the bottom! the host kindly took us down in her car in the morning
The host- I was sorry to not get her name, was wonderful. very welcoming and looked after us well, she cooked an amazing three course dinner for us that worked out at about £12 per person. the guesthouse is very cosy

Our stay at this Guesthouse was lovely. We were the only people staying one very cold and rainy night during the winter. The owner cooked a three course meal for us and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and plentiful. The guesthouse offers free tea and coffee, wifi in the communal areas and a friendly atmosphere. It is in a rather isolated location but easy to find by car and a perfect chance to see the Northern Lights on a clear night. Excellent value for money, would certainly visit again.

This is a quiet place where you can escape from all. The host offer a dinner for extra charge. It was just in time and very delicious

A utility building central hall motel setup that was unattended - key in the door along with a note of welcome. Maybe someone lives in the farm house up the road
clean and neat

Very nice! Somewhat remote situated but this was what we were searching for! If you want to stay at a lovely place with horses, a cute dog and a nice Hot pot - take it! If you want to have a meal at a nearby it maybe not what you are searching for. Of course there is a friendly staff too.

No inernet in the room. No sun shield on the window and during the summer it could be a big problem. They messed our booking: we invited twin rooms but they provided double! Definitely inconvinient!

Only one bathroom (shower and WC together) for the entire floor: in the morning we had to wait more than 30 mins for the loo.
felt like we were on a family visit !!! Very friendly owner, great room, good location (for our purpose). Everything was very clean.

Shared facilities does lead to queuing for the toilet and shower so another bathroom would have been helpful! Hot tub was HOT! Wifi in the communal area only - but not a problem
Everything! The place had character being on a farm. The staff were superb - helpful, friendly etc. Room clean and comfortable. Had the evening meal which was a buffet with barbequed meat from the farm - breakfast also excellent. Went for an hour's ride around the countryside with one of the staff - safety and concern to our enjoyment paramount! Value for money was excellent - this was the cheapest place we stayed in but overall the best - the most welcoming and in a lovely quist location away form it all.

I did not like the location. We drove around for quite a long time looking for it. It is very out of the way. I found the price to be a bit expensive for what we actually received during our stay.
I liked the complimentary tea that was available to guests. I also liked our room.

About negative sides, nothing special. Morning light can easily enter in the room even with the curtains in front of windows, so if you wake up easily you could find it a little bit tricky to sleep. Moreover the road it's a little bit tricky because is not paved. However, driving around iceland without a jeep or at least a SUV is crazy and limiting, so if you plan to rent a Peugeot 106, i suppose you have not understood enough the spirit of this country
Emotional, peaceful and outstanding place with a perfect position to comfortably visit the entire central and south area from Gullfoss to Vik and not only. I felt like I was in the home of my dreams. Horses, farm, endless landscapes, volcano at the horizon (Hekla), and aurora in the sky.....The owners, wife and husband are 2 excellent people and the structure is very well kept. She took us for 1 hour ride around the farm with her horses, unforgettable experience. For the entire trip we said again and again "we must come back to this place next year"......

My husbands only complaint was that in the living room which was available for us to hang out in, it seemed as though it was their room, with kids toys and such all over. However, we had the whole room to ourselves while we were their, no one else around.
We wanted a location in the middle of nowhere, so we liked the location. But we warned there is nothing very close, so either eat dinner before arriving or be okay driving into town (20 minutes??) to get something. But we wanted away from everything so it was perfect. The hosts were super friendly, very nice. When we checked in several rooms were available, so we got one with an amazing view, a big window right out the front. We did not get wi-fi reception in the room, but there was a living room available to hang out in were reception was great. In fact, when we went looking for the wi-fi password the owner said it worked best in the living room, and then even started us a pot of tea. So nice!! We also saw them later and they let us know the moon was beautiful, and how we could get through the gates to climb the hill behind the house to best see it. Nice bed, great room, great stay!
