The owners always keep an eye on you to see if you need anything. Really comfortable bed and good shower. Excellent hot tube outside.
Some times they forget to watch the hot tube temperature and it gets unconfortable or impossible to get in.
Perfect place to explore the North including Myvatn and Husavik. The rooms are spacious and absolutely nice, cosy and clean. In front of the house is a nice hot tub, from which one can watch the Northern lights in the evening. The owners are extremeley nice and helpful and cared a lot for us (even our car was freed of ice after breakfast). Breakfast was excellent!
That we had to move on.
Every single moment
Nice clean room. Excellent Breakfast! to start the day. Also superb dinner to end your day as well. Best lamb I have had after a long time
Food prices too high
The tub, gotta love the tub. Great breakfast. Good beds. Lovely northern lights..
Hot tub right near the house. Decent breakfast.
Wonderful staff, fabulous room, , great value.
Big room and big bathroom. Beds were fine and after asking we got some better pillows. We found these very soft pillows typical for Iceland. We really enjoyed the hot tub outside. Nice to have bathrobes from the hotel. Close enough to the myvatn area and husavik.
It's pricy but a lot of hotels are in the myvatn area. Dinner at the hotel is definitely not worth the money.
Convenient to Godafoss and Myvatn. Friendliest staff and best breakfast of the trip. Hot pot was nice, though a bit like a horse trough. Pretty horses on site. Nice sitting area. Shared kettle in hall. Saw the northern lights both nights! Loved everything about it.
excellent room, fabulous evening meal. Good quiet location
Hot pot - breakfast
laying in the hot tub at 2 am watching Aurora Borealis morph itself into the most wondrous of shapes! Hosts are extremely kind and rescued my friend and I when we were lost. We arrived very late and they welcomed us with open arms. Several houses on the property, we stayed in the middle house on the top floor. Very lovely rooms, super clean, wood floors, beautiful view. HOT TUB!!! Even though it is man made, the water is piped directly from the hills nearby. Breakfast is delicious!!!
Saw the Northern Lights from the hot tub... Was amazing!
Nice location in the countryside
nice host good hot tub potential for aurora
nothing. maybe just bugs out in nature :).
The landlady and her husband are very nice people. They take care of their guests. We also liked the hot baths.
There are no restaurants nearby so the only option is eating at this hotel which offers a set menu.
Room was perfect very spacious very clean, large bed
We loved everything about our stay. They have a nice hot pot where you can enjoy the geothermal waters of the area and gaze at the stars. One of our highlights was seeing the Northern Lights! The owner was kind enough to wake us for a beautiful show of shimmering light. It has easy access to Myvatn and all the sights around that area.
the best room we had in our tour around Iceland....great bed, brand-new Euro bathroom, spotlessly clean, nice breakfast. Location is very convenient, near Godafoss on the way from Akureyri to Myvatn. Our room overlooked a hillside with a huge herd of horses...very picturesque. They have a new building and an older building -- we were in the new building.
nothing....it was a great place to rest a night
We had a very large lovely room(#21). Dinner quite nice, staff very accommodating. Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Good location, hot tub too.
No TV in bedroom
very clean, big room, excellent cuisine
no wifi in the room, quite pricy
Wifi, private bath, countryside location close to the falls. Excellent cook. Breakfast was great.
Very good position, close to Myvatn area. Clean and cozy with a friendly host. Very good breakfast (by icelandic standards).
There was no kettle in the room. The host kindly gave us one, but it didn't work. A little on the high end in terms of price.
