Beautiful location and landscape with views on both glaciers & sea. Comfortable & new rooms, Very nice staff and delicious breakfast.
Quiet location. Nice from room. Extra lavabo in the room
Guesthouse too pro, with staff. Too much of everything. ...
This nice cottage was perfect for our family of four with one young child (5yrs). It is private, quaint, and contains big windows to look out at glacier and wonderful scenery. It is quite different from staying at a hotel which is what we liked.
Sortof hard to find as we missed the turnoff the first time while driving by rental car and the main guesthouse was not exactly obvious to us. Could improve the WiFi, since there was none in the cottage and had to go to the main guesthouse to work on mail, etc..
The location was great, Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Room was clean
Expensive for shared bathrooms, Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom set up was not good, floor flooded everywhere.
The host was helpful.
1)Nice woman runs the place and was very helpful. 2) She makes you take your shoes off when you enter which is a pain but it keeps the place clean
The breakfast did not even include hard boiled eggs. Inadequate breakfast considering the price of the room. Not a good value for the money.
good breakfast several shower room nice view
horses, and animals. Very nice breakfast.
very comfortable beds, very quiet (far from the street--only heard birds), lovely common/breakfast room with nice view, nice to be able to make tea & coffee in room
wifi in our room poor, had to go in the common room for internet, which was kind of uncomfortable when others were dining there; they advertise horse rentals but in fact don't offer them--need to update advertising
All the staffs and manager are friendly and patient. It located near the 1 road with conspicuous guideposts. The rooms are clean. And I have to say that I love the breakfast！
I am so so so so like it.
We loved our stay here. The rooms are new, clean, and comfortable. The farm is charming with pet rabbits, chickens, and horses. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and you get to see the family prepare everything in the beautiful open kitchen attached to the dining area. There was even the unexpected surprise of homemade waffles at breakfast!
Our only complaint was that the wifi didn't reach our room. Judging by the number of guests checking their phones in the lobby, that was true for most of the house.
Modern bathrom with rainshower, new furnished rooms and main room.
Cooking is done with the heart it shows.
The outside needs to be finished but I am sure they are working on it.
The location was breathtaking with a stunning view of mountains and ocean. This hotel is a recently converted farm and the family who runs it is very warm and kind - they treat you like you are their family. Our daughter was sick when we stayed and the proprietor gave us Dayquil that she'd gotten from her visit to the US. It was just what we needed, especially as we could find no pharmacy or drugstore anywhere and were unprepared! The room was very comfortable and the food was delicious.
View of glacier, breakfast
We were too early (june) for horse rides
+Great location; A comfortable and very clean room with pleasant furniture. Excellent waffles in the morning. The tenth point is earned by friendly, kind and vivacious owner and family members. The guest house does not have a TV, but is well replaced with a great view of the ocean and the glacier.
It had a wonderful breakfast with lots of options (breads, lunchmeats, waffles, fruit). It was nice having a sink in your own room.
It was a little far off the road which was not paved. They had a nice dinner but only had one choice of food-fish.
Wonder staff who knows the surrounding well, offer good tips. Dinner very good as well as the breakfast .
The room was great, and the dinner we had at the hotel was delicious. The staff was also very friendly, and also left us a handwritten note and a small bottle of champagne because we were there on our honeymoon - I would definitely stay here again!
The wifi speed was fairly slow, but was reliable. I'm guessing that's to be expected in a location this far away from a town.
We are students, so our demands are not that high and we were pleased with the room. The Breakfast was nice - the view on the mountain awesome. It is near to the Black Beach and Dyrholae.
We had some long black hairs in our bed - but beside that it was clean. The price is in relation to other guestrooms is despite the good breakfast too high, but thats a problem in vik at all.
Staff reception no friendly at all. Was expecting to have fresh and homemade produits for breakfast as per the location and type of accommodation! Very poor!
Good location - lovely views from the bedroom and dining room and convenient for local sights. Very good breakfast - especially the waffles!
Pretty good - but the hotel offered dinner (three courses and seemed pretty ordinary) for a high price - much more choice and better value in town.
The room and bathroom were very clean. Nice and kind staff. Good breakfast, they do home made pancakes in front of you. Restaurant food was good.
The staff wasn't in the reception at the time indicated in the door.
