A classical hotel, everything is clear and quiet. The braakfast was very good, and the view is very nice as well. Hosts are friendly, and they also have a small farm with horses and you can make a horse trip. During the night you can go out of the hotel and observe stars/northern lights.
Breakfast was a little restricting since they watch how much you eat
Nice small place with comfy rooms
Internet connection was poor Dinner option cooked by the owner a bit too pricey Poor selection of toiletries in bathroom Shower curtain didn't stop the water flooding the whole bathroom leaving us walking on wet floor for the rest of our stay
Nice lady welcomed us and was very friendly throughout Food good and reasonable price Off the beaten path so quiet
Wifi a bit dodgy at times
Everything was perfect
The guest compendium in a room with some interesting facts about Iceland and local area.
The room was very cold, so we had to sleep with our cloths on. The room only heated up in a morning.
Nice location, friendly staff.
Like everything in Iceland, it's very expensive for what you get.
breakfast room has a nice view. Rooms were simple and nice.
shower was so hot, that one could not shower and it was not possible to change the temperature.
the room was clean and comfortable. the staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was awesome (although quite expensive). but they have to make some $ somewhere since the room rate is pretty reasonable...
wifi only works in the common area- which closes at 10pm.
The hotel is very clean and calm, behind the mountain and close to Vik and waterfalls. Wifi works very good and the stuff is very friendly! The breakfast was full and good.
There were nothing I didn't like.
The owner advised us when it was possible to see the northen lights
The shower didn't worked correctly.
Very friendly staff, very helpful
The shower doesn't drain very well, this was the only problem. Everything else was very good.
Beautiful location and landscape with views on both glaciers & sea. Comfortable & new rooms, Very nice staff and delicious breakfast.
Quiet location. Nice from room. Extra lavabo in the room
Guesthouse too pro, with staff. Too much of everything. ...
This nice cottage was perfect for our family of four with one young child (5yrs). It is private, quaint, and contains big windows to look out at glacier and wonderful scenery. It is quite different from staying at a hotel which is what we liked.
Sortof hard to find as we missed the turnoff the first time while driving by rental car and the main guesthouse was not exactly obvious to us. Could improve the WiFi, since there was none in the cottage and had to go to the main guesthouse to work on mail, etc..
The location was great, Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Room was clean
Expensive for shared bathrooms, Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom set up was not good, floor flooded everywhere.
The host was helpful.
1)Nice woman runs the place and was very helpful. 2) She makes you take your shoes off when you enter which is a pain but it keeps the place clean
The breakfast did not even include hard boiled eggs. Inadequate breakfast considering the price of the room. Not a good value for the money.
good breakfast several shower room nice view
horses, and animals. Very nice breakfast.
very comfortable beds, very quiet (far from the street--only heard birds), lovely common/breakfast room with nice view, nice to be able to make tea & coffee in room
wifi in our room poor, had to go in the common room for internet, which was kind of uncomfortable when others were dining there; they advertise horse rentals but in fact don't offer them--need to update advertising
